You mean the season where Fisher didn't need Kerry to throw the ball... You mean the season where Kerry rode on CJ and a great defense... Hey, how did Kerry Collins and his offense look after CJ got hurt in the playoffs?

Albert Haynesworth. When it takes 3 O lineman to block one D lineman... You're team is going to be very good regardless of who is QB. We lose 2 starters (AH being the most important) in 09 and the razor thin margin for error that Fisherball provides turns into L's instead of Ws.

You're right, it is wrong to base football decisions on whether you're buddy buddy with a player. Yet Nickey, Collins, and Gage keep playing. Hmmmmm

Perfect example of what I was talking about earlier in this thread. When you criticize one half of the VY-Fisher dichotomy, people assume you are on the other side. It's not that simple, people. Broaden your thinking. I know you can do it. It's possible to be critical of both sides. This isn't an either-or scenario. There are more than two possible outcomes.

IDK I'm sure it is. And Jeff Fisher was the coach for all those games. Amazing that our fan base is so massively divided over and loyal to these two clowns. Fisher is a good coach. Vince is a good QB. When are we as a fan base going to stop being okay with just good? I'm starting to think never.

I can, it's quite simple. Let's all understand that Collins can NOT single handily do much on his own. He need's good players all around him as he had in 2008. Without a great O-line to provide him with time to find people, he's dead. Without a great 1-2 punch out of the backfield, he's dead. Without a stellar defense to get him extra shots, he's dead. Without great starting field position, he's also dead. No defensive player anywhere respects Collins enough to allow him to pass freely. People are afraid of what Vince Young can do. Notice they spy him nearly all day.... The only way a Jeff Fisher coached Titans can do anything is if the QB can move. Collins is a statue with broken fingers.

It's easier to keep Vince than to fix the O-Line, RB production, and the entire defense. I sure hope Bud fires the idiot coach who wont admit he's on the hot seat.

You don't need a quarterback to win when you have a great defense and a strong running game.
