In the best of worlds the Coach getting what he wanted would be fine. But, Bud knew what Vince is capable of and wanted his entertaining style of QB play for his team. Given that, the Coach had the obligation to adapt and he refused. No one to blame for that choice but Fisher.

AGAIN, I was answering someone that was using the QB rating to claim VY's number were pathetic and it's someone that agrees with your view regarding VY.

So what do you do? You and a few know it all fans, not the NFL experts want to completely dismiss a formula that the NFL has used for years because it does fit your argument. The NFL and the analyst refer to the QB rating all the time. Plus, someone put a lot more time in figuring out the QB rating than you do your opinion. I'm laughing my butt off that you think your opinion is right and someone that put together a formula that has been used for years and is referred to all the time to figure out how a QB is doing by using Yards, TD', and INT which are all factual stats. Dude, if you want to debate, use some number to support your fact. I can throw 30-17 and QB rating at you all the time and all you got is your opinion to dispute it. But if you actually use some numbers, be prepare to see HOF QB's with similar stats when VY's age. If you want to just argue that VY's head isn't on right then that is fine. I will continue to support our QB and can't wait to see how he does when Fisher is gone. I can forgive him for his heat of the moment bad acts and expect him to mature more as he puts Fisher behind him. It's not like he tortured dogs or anything.

It all washes out man. The offenses are diffeent than when Joe Montana played, but the defenses were not near as complicated as they are now. The players are bigger and faster now. But the way the QB rating is, it doesn't give you an advantage to pass more or less. You throw for yards and TD's without INT and less incompletions it rates you higher. If you throw many incompletions and INT and not throw TDs or lots of yards then it will rate you lower no mater how many attempt the QB do.

But I would like for you to explain why the QB ratings are an advantage to the QB's more now than then. But try to do this explanation while including how the defenses are these days vs in the old days.

I've never liked stats. They have nothing to do with the human factor. As Cowherd says, you can tolerate high performing divas for one or two seasons, but after that, they tend to destroy team unity and then their stats mean little to nothing as you look for ways to get rid of them.

So you believe the eye test over anything else? Or what you hear from ESPN over anything else? Stats is the only factual thing you can measure without any biases. It's impossible to measure just how successful a QB is by just looking at them. If the eye test is so easy, then how do the experts miss on players like Russell and Leaf and Montana and Brady.

Ha! Stats is how experts missed on those players! The Human factor is what made and broke those players.

Football is a team sport; every player's stats are dependent upon what other players around do or don't do. Stas give a vague impression at best, and a very vague one at that.

But spinning is my thing. Nah bro, I was just being a @ssh0!3 don't take me too serious. I have always admired, loved and respected Coach Fisher but I'm at the point where I just don't like him anymore and don't want him around. Sorry if I come off as being anything more than a guy who wants a new head coach.
