OH MAN why does every thread on this board have to turn into a VY hate thread! Two-demensional thinkers like "24" have to bust up in here and post loads of hogwash on every thread like this. The fact that Fisher may lose his job DOES NOT mean that Bud is choosing Vince over Fish. Grow up and look at the big picture. Have you seen our team lately? Not everything has to be about VY. Dang man.

I'm wonder if Fisher still feels like a winner right about now.

I've heard the rumor that Jerry Jones loves Fisher. Based on what? Is this one of those rumors that slip out from a message board that gets read and repeated so much that it becomes the truth?

I'd swap coaches with Dallas today.

I never said that Jerry is right by thinking that Jeff is a great coach. I just said that he thinks the world of Jeff and have seen him say it numerous times when talking about Fisher.

There is a weekly Dallas Cowboys show here on FSN and one guy asked him on there about getting a guy of the caliber of Jeff Fisher as their next coach. He might have just been being diplomatic but he sang Jeff's praises to the point where that I thought "he can't be talking about the same Fisher I know".

He spoke less to his football know-how and more about Fisher's involvement around the league, competition committee and having worked closely with him on that. He did make sure to not make an endorsement for getting Fisher but did stop just short of saying that he would jump at the chance to get him IF he were available.

So it's more than just something I've pulled out of my @ss, this thing has some serious life to it. I've followed Jerry Jones enough to know that if he wants Fisher (and he definitely does), and Fisher can be had, he will have Fisher.

As long as we understand that, when any owner is asked about someone, they're not going to speak negative of him.

That's a far cry from Jones actually wanting Fisher to coach the Cowboys.

Can owners even discuss it while a coach is under contact?

i agree with you most of the time. but when it comes to fisher i don't! i'm not really a romo fan but i'd swap qb's with dallas today. ok, fisher is run first but titans running and passing game is way more ballanced when old man collins is on the field. i want to see what fisher can do with a younger competitve qb who is not limited to a low number of plays like vince. i want to see what fisher can do when he's not forced to play vince or an old backup guy.

Not legally. It's called "tampering". But if someone asked Jones if he'd like someone like Jeff Fisher to be his head coach, Jones could talk about Fisher's achievements, knowledge of the rules, etc. without directly saying he'd want him.

That's where the assumptions come in.

But remember the Herm Edwards trade? There were rumors floating around that he was talking to the Chiefs while under contract with the Jets. The Jets finally gave him permission to negotiate and they got a four for the trade.

Personally, I'd like to see Jones make a call to Underwood and express interest if the Titans were considering a move because they might get a draft pick for him.

Some of you guys need to quit sippin the Jason Garrett cool aid...

he's 4-3, but he hasn't proven anything to me except that he can make a team with loads of talent go from playing terrible to playing below average. And there really not all that much of a changed team, there still giving up 30 points a game, and still have no running game. The only differnce between Wade and Garrett is the Turnover ratio supports Garrett..
