I've been generally happy with his play on the field this year (other than teh inability to hold a football like it's a football), but his trade value is affected by a lot more than that.

    1) He's in the last year of his contract - that means a team would need to be really desperate to give up a pick for him when they could wait a year and get him just for money.

    2) He's due a TON of money next year - even playing well it's more than he's worth. The Titans would need to rework his contract with him in order to make him tradeable.

    3) You always hear markets hate uncertainty. The same is here. Between the CBA uncertainty, the coaching uncertainty in TN, and VY's starting role in jeopardy from his outburst there are a lot of IFs that need to be settled before a trade could happen. All that drives his price down, even given the likelihood that he'd be the best QB on the market.

As I said before, the GM's and coaches of the teams are more concerned on improving their team now!! Because tomorrow they may not have a job.
Yes they could wait a year... only to see him go to another team that just put more money on the table!!

Also his contract isn't a issue... Sure vince will want the 14 million but the new team can easily reestruture a multi-year contract well above the 14 million.

I'd be surprised if we get a 3rd for VY. Teams value their draft picks like crazy. Look at Anquan Boldin, he was traded for a 3rd and a 4th. And Boldin is a superstar, he was the fastest to reach 400 career receptions.

How about Jay Cutler? And he's a QB also!

Draft a young guy and start the youth movement - Mallett would be a good fit and he's a big strong kid.

Cutler is not a good comparison. He threw for 25 TDs the year before he was traded. Vince Young's career high in passing TDs is not even half that.

    Seriously. It's 12. Pretty pathetic.

VY is no where near worth a 1st round pick. Only a monumental, idiotic, of a GM and owner would let the Titans rob them of a first round pick for a mediocre, mentally unstable QB.

And all the teams that need a QB have good draft picks for the most part. Young is not better than Cameron Newton, Ryan Mallet, Andrew Luck, etc, give me a freaking break.

He's also not really much better than Donovan McNabb, Carson Palmer or some of the other pro QBs who might get cut or traded.

You know... VY hasn't play a full season since... 2007. So going for his TDs on a full season is a little far fetched...

Likewise, I could say that Jay Cutler best QB rating of his carreer is this season with 88.5. Well, VY this season has a QB rating of 98.6.

(Look at me defending VY! Shame on me!! What a guy has to do to prove that we could get a first out of him.):grrhee:
