What do you want vs What do you think...

    With so many different opinions on this board, thought this would be interesting. Just talking about Head Coach and QB, since those are the two most highly debated ?s going into the offseason, if you had your way, what do you want to happen, vs what do you think will happen.

    Want
    Gruden or Holmgren as coach
    Andrew Luck at QB

    I think
    We get Rob Ryan
    As much as I disagree with it, I think we keep Vince...draft a QB in round 2 or 3, maybe someone like Ricky Stanzi.
    I will say it will be interesting to see what happens if Ryan Mallett is still on the board when we pick though. I could see them keeping Vince, and waiting to see how the draft unfolds before making a decision.

    Why get rid of Vince Young? He played great this season. After the way Fisher has treated him and thrown him under the bus over the years you can't really blame the guy. At least he won't lay down like some QB's

    Won't lay down? Vince's talent has never been the question. He has as much god given ability as any QB in the NFL. His problem is in his work ethic, questioned by many, including teammates (as Rich Gannon reported on NFL Radio), and the way he handles situations when things get tough. If he had handled the situation with Fisher the way McNabb handled it with Shanny, then everyone would be on Vince's side. Instead he took the childish way out. Once again showing his true character.

    i dont want it to happen but i think if we dont end up with Fisher in 2011 it will be Wade Phillips...Bud loves his texas guys

    What I want

    A new head coach, either promote from within. Washburn and Munchak(sp) are well respected here and for good reason. I would LOVE to have Gruden, but I do not think it will happen.

    Get rid of Vince, do I think this is all his fault? no.....but he does have maturity issues and quite frankly, I am tired of putting up with his bull.

    After the first we spend on a QB:wink2: id like the next few to go towards some nasty linebackers and a SS. love ya Hope but for the last 2 seasons you have played like garbage.

    I know too much to ask for. Instead I will get another 5-9 win season next year with the same line up.

    I still haven't decided on what I want Fisher's fate to be, but I've always liked Rob Ryan, and if Fisher did go I would love for him to be the next coach. Or Ron Rivera, I really like what he does with San Diego's D.

    Truth is I just want football next year.

    God I would hate that. I'm sure 98% of the fans agree with that. It made me sick just to see another poster mention his name in another thread.

    GREAT POINT....and Rivera wouldn't be a bad choice based on his track record with Ds...I'm just a fan of the Ryan brothers...

    I could get on the Rob Ryan bandwagon if Jeff is gone, but I'm not gonna worry about it until then. However, I think we could be a good destination for him. We do have a decent roster, that's young. He would get some chances to coach against his brother too. Of all the possible HC spots, outside of Buffalo if I remember how the scheduling works the Titans and the Jets would meet every so often in the regular season and quite possibly in the post season if we start getting in again. And the AFC south is up for grabs, even at this point in the season. So that could be appealing to a candidate as well.

    What I want:
    Drew Brees or Brady @ QB and Payton as HC

    What I think:
    Titans will promote HC from within the organization and the headcase will return at QB.

    I don't see any coveted "name" HC coming to TN, especially Rob Ryan.
