Pretty Real Good in 2011

    I think it is time to see what a VY lead team will look like without Jeff Fisher as the head coach. I think we could be a playoff team in 2011 with CJ, VY and Moss et al.:yes:

    So reward Vince Young for his outburst? His insubordination?

    I'm not entirely disagreeing here but his behaivior makes it harder to fire Fisher because it is like validating what he did.

    Tom Jackson said it was in his experience the most disrespectful thing a player has ever said to a coach.

    If Young shuts up the team falls apart and he probably gets his wish.

    No reward. One shot. One season. Do not extend his contract. Contract negotiations can wait until after the playoffs. It may cost more if he has a successful season but tying him up any longer is not worth it to the team given his past behavior and antics.

    Oh yea. VY must apologize to his teammates once again and his new deal (one year without Jeff) must be known by every Titan player. At 27, he deserves one more mulligan with this team.

    "deserves".... i have to disagree. he deserves nothing, hard to imagine how you use that word along with " one more mulligan". thats just rediculious.
    now i wouldnt mind seeing him get a open shot at this team without fisher, but he has to earn it...he's not entitled to jack

    some players are afforded one shot, some are afforded more than one shot; the question is whether Bud believes he has the talent to merit ("deserves" etc etc) another shot with this team. It sucks but that's life. I believe he deserves one shot with this team without fisher as his head coach. David Carr got 8 years and two head coaches in Houston. Some say because he had tremendous upside potential (i.e., good speed and a good arm). And David Carr is no Vince Young. Bottomline, the owner believed he had the upside potential. Maybe Bud will do the same with Vince with a better outcome.

    The past two seasons they are 12-4 when Young starts and 1-11 when he doesn't. I'd rather win with a guy who might show up a little late than lose and say "yeah but our QB showed up to practice at 7am on Wednesday and doesnt text me...isn't that awesome?!!"
