For God's sake, VY is 27 years old! No one forced him off of the deep end...he took the dive himself. When you are paid millions of dollars to do your job, I believe that it is assumed that you can afford your own psychotherapist (or day care attendant, whichever applies here), thus not expecting the head coach to fulfill this role for you.

And also, why not compare VY to Pacman or Haynesworth? While I will agree that Pacman and Haynesworth had more visible meltowns, immaturity is immaturity, regardless of how ridiculous your meltown appears. IMO at this point, VY=Pacman=Haynesworth. Rotten apples are rotten apples, no matter how big or rotten they actually are at the time they are evaluated.

Jeff Fisher has simply lost this team.... This VY thing is just a symptom of this.

    He needs to go....

If I were VY, regardless of what happens with JF, I would get the hell out of Tennessee.

The role they assign him does not play to his strengths.... They basically made him a one-dimensional quarterback. A pocket passer. That is not what he is. He needs an offense that is suited to his strengths.... He needs to run 5-8 times per game. He has proven he can pass. He is just doesn't fit into this ball-control, grinding offense. He needs an OC who will call creative plays.

If VY was coached by Sean Payton do you think we would be 31st in passing?

    Its the system....

Lets flip this around for a minute...If Sean Payton had VY at QB instead of Drew Brees, do you think he would be the defending champion head coach of the league???? I think not...no where close.

I agree and I wish VY hadn't ruined Fisher's chances at the Super Bowl.

although VY has had some maturity issues what else it wrong with him to the point where everybody wants to get rid of him? he wins games. i mean what else really matters? sure his stats are not very good but when you run the ball 75% of the time what else do you expect? now not by any means am i saying that VY is up there with manning and brady but he sure as hell is better than most of the starting QB's in the NFL. ask youself what are we really gaining by getting rid of VY and bringing in a rookie or better yet signing one. hasselbeck, mcnabb, kyle orton, matt more, and alex smith are the top QB options in FA this year..... yea they are much better options than vince

the one we should be getting rid of is fisher. 17 years coaching and 5 playoff wins???? sure his reg-season record is decent but that dont mean nothing if you cant win when it counts. imo i dont think fisher ever liked VY in the 1st place. he sure as hell didnt have a hard time finding reasons to bench him. fisher has also contradicted himself many times over this whole thing.

if i were bud i would fire fisher unless he can pull us into the playoffs and i would sit down with young and tell him straight up. you have till the end of your contract to get you act together. and if he still continues to act immature and lazy than i would let him go

VY has the talent its just the point of does he have the worth ethic and maturity which i think would improve a bunch with a new HC

    Maybe....

The Saints got pretty lucky last year. If we "mulliganed" last year the Saints themselves probably don't make it to the SB. Afterall, One Brett Favre boneheaded play sent them there....And Drew Brees IS a better QB than VY, not arguing that

Also, Brees was a journeyman QB at this stage of his career. With Payton he exploded.

Lets examine Reggie Bush: He is a medicore RB.... can't run inside the tackles. But the Saints don't ask him to do that. They adapted. They don't try and get a square peg into a round hole. They split him out, create mismatches.... Do we try to do that with CJ ( a much better RB)? We try the same things over and over again.... CJ is what Bush was supposed to be, but we don't even maximize his potential.

This much is certain: Payton and other coaches would have got much more production out of the Titans offensive personnel, including Vince.

In tennesse, tenn beat out uab in ot and is probably going to finish 5-7, because kentucky is better. Vandy is vandy.

The Titans are likely to finish 7-9 or 6-10, wont place high enough to get a top ranked qb, and will likely go into next season with chris simms and rusty smith at the helm next year if fisher is here. this season, next, and the following year with a brand new quarterback, the stud some want, will likely be playing without fisher as a headcoach, his contract having already expired.

Or we can get rid of him and keep young. i dont have the patience to spend two to three years rebuilding because our current coach just wont give in.

Dude, with Sean Payton coaching we would have so much crazy awesomeness on offense. We have some pretty good offensive skill guys. The worst who gets to play is Gage and he's a C-level player...

Gage, Cook, CRAIG STEVENS (His hands are golden), Damian, Nate, KENNY BRITT, Vince Young, Scaife, Ringer, CHRIS JOHNSON, and Randy Moss (an effective decoy if nothing else)---Those guys with Sean Payton would be absolute murder on offense. I think Payton could even draw out some playmaking ability in Ahmard Hall.

With Fisher (even with the great Kerry Collins at QB) we instill no fear with our offense. Defenses pretty much mind CJ and nothing else. It just shouldn't be that way, even with "Gump" at QB.

Well it's hard to adapt to a pure rushing QB in the NFL. This IS NOT the big 12 conference. Defenders here have the speed to make the rushing attack of VY mediocre at best. I see the whole point of square peg round hole argument, but let's face it, in order for the Titans to be successful, the passing game had to be an option, with VY it really isn't.
