Our defense stinks/Offensive play calling

We don't have someone pushing the pocket up the middle anymore. We need someone big to command double teams and not allow the QB to step up. We need Haynesworth.

 

I just hope JJ comes back soon!

 

Has Young really set the bar so low that people mistake a decent performance for a good one?

 

Not sure why everyone is down on the defense for yesterday. The previous two games, sure, but not yesterday. While it wasn't the best execution, I thought it was the best effort and gameplan we've seen from the defense this season. Washington may have been a MASH unit, but they had heart and McNabb, and that was enough. Remember the arse-kicking we handed Jacksonville after losing to New England 59-0 last season? That was a team determined not to be embarrassed again. Still, our tired defense which was justifiably sucking air after their first two series of the game held the Redskins to 16 points in regulation. You should win games like that with your offense, but we didn't score the points we needed to win. Plain and simple.

 

What kills me about the defense is how CC just lets the defense go like a bunch of rabid dogs.....there is no control whatsoever. Take the Jason Babin's PF in OT along with the other PF in OT. Like Blaine Bishop said yesterday on the radio, "I didn't see a single person go up and say anything to him after it happened." This kill kill kill mentality that he is instilling in our defensive players is killing us, you can be really aggressive and still have some control.
