Who will be our new starter?

Why does everyone like Rusty so much? Its not like he did anything during the preseason against 3rd stringers.

 

i'd be ok with Rusty, or bring Jeff Garcia from the UFL.

 

I thought we cut Simms? Or is he on the PS? ..Christ..

 

I wouldn't say "giving up". Just facing the reality of the situation really. We AREN'T going to the playoffs. It's just not in the cards this season. I'm as upset about it as anyone but that's the way it is. We've lost 3 in a row to mediocre to horrible teams. On top of that it's looking like Vince is done for the year and Kerry is still injured. Our remaining schedule is extremely tough. I just can't see it happening... at all.

 

I think this is a big mistake to start Rusty. He really looked like a 3rd stringer out there. I'll root for him and jump on his bandwagon of course, but I didn't see one ioda of starting qb out there.

I think we need to look at some other rookies if VY is really out.

It reminds of the time that Houston Oilers started that qb from Texas A&M and it was a disaster. Everyone wants to like Rusty, but I don't see it working out. This looks more like a disaster waiting to happen. Chris Simms is even worse. We need to look for someone who had a track record in college and who is worth a look.

Tom Brady went to Michigan. he was a blue chip qb. That is a whole different league than where Rusty comes from. Rusty is more like a scratch off lottery ticket that didn't pan out.

 

Ahh..our drafting philosophy in a nutshell. "Let's get some no name and pray he's good..who needs big names".
