Steelers Pay Refs, Slip by Phins.

That ref said waaay too much. Any play that requires that kind of explanation is bogus.

 

Pretty obvious that the the Dolphins fell on the ball. Officials have to follow the play in case it is ruled a fumble in replay.

 

O The local tv/radio here is going crazy.And they should be what a bad bad call.

 

The Steelers aren't required to follow NFL rules. Or even football rules. Everyone knows that.

 

The problem is that the officials quit on the play when it was ruled a TD. You'd think that with replay and challenges that the officials would make sure every angle is covered so that in the event of a reversal they'd know who had possession. If the play had been ruled a fumble from the get go, the Dolphins would have been awarded possession. I'm sick of officials using the rulebook as an excuse for sloppy officiating.

 

I will always hate Pissburgh for this very reason. If the official sees the ball come out that close to the goal line why would you blow the play dead unless you absolutely know it was a td.

So what he's actually saying is that the refs blew the play dead before a team was able to gain posession of the football? Fumbles being live unless they go out of play or a team gets posession...

Surely someone has to be fired for that?
