I'm quite happy to say "I told you so" :). This season is all about how far Vince can take us. Of course if given the chance, Vince would have won us the Broncos game. I've never lost confidence in our team. Everyone knows we've lost two only because of our own mistakes. This is a playoff team BTW!

    HEY dbc,
Vince beat the 8th ranked defense! In your face...

Still disappointed we gave up that 17-3 lead. Fisher let up on the gas some and let them back in. Granted our pass defense got shredded but still...

So lame.... I'll take the bait. First off, you're referring to a post that took a teams FINAL YEARLY NUMBERS, not after a bye week and 4 games. Young has played well at times, including yesterday. Vince was under 50% passing, had 1TD pass caught by a WR he wasn't even throwing to and had a sure INT dropped. THEN.... completed ZERO passes after being down 23-20 and the defense and special teams(notice I didn't say Mariani and Verner because I know each play in the NFL is about multiple players winning their 1 on 1 match ups) went and won the game for us.

So, tread carefully my internet adversary, history shows Vince Young will have more big moments of fail. You might wanna let things play out.

Again, Young has played better this season than ever before and hopefully he gets even better. I will continue to try and be more pro-VY moving forward but if you want to single me out it makes it hard.

I just want to see us win.

CJ is getting hit more this season than last season, which means more chances for a defender to strip it. I will say that i thought CJ was losing some burst. On his long run today i retracted that statement. He can stop on a dime and accelerates better than anyone in the league. He made the Cowboys look like fools.

This statement is actually true somewhat. Because we were never down 23-20 so it is true that Vince didn't complete a single pass.

I think it will be more or less the same aggressive play calling next week against our division rival. We always play well on Monday nights.

I can't wait to see how empty their stadium is in HD.

You wanna talk about history repeating itself? Mcnair's 5th year in the league, 1999, under similar heavy criticism that VY is/has been under. I think we all know how that turned out.

It takes time to groom a quarterback, no one's Tom Brady overnight. He has had emotional struggles, and he's got it together now. You'd do well to jump on the bandwagon because VY is for real.

I hope we make them wish they would have blacked out this MNF. :)

Dbc, you seem to be getting a little more positive. I don't mind people being critical of VY and defending Fisher when the circumstances dictate it. My big problem with you and RollTide has been that regardless of what happens, you guys stick to your guns and don't budge. I'll be the first to admit that Fisher actually planned and called a great game on Sunday. If he were more consistent, I'd have no problem with him. Same goes with Vince, he played an average (or slightly above average) game. If he can continue to play at that level or better, we're gonna be well on our way to being a solid playoff team.

This is a pretty skewed argument as well. If the defense caught every pass that should have been an INT, Romo would have had at least 5 INTs on the day, and the acceptable TD:INT ratio in the league would be vastly different.

I'm not convinced he was throwing the end zone pass to Scaife either. He definitely looked at Britt about a second or two before he threw it. If Simms hadn't said anything on air I'm pretty sure nobody would be discussing this. IMO Simms is just mad his son got cut. :grrhee:
