VIDEO: VY vs Cowboys

The Nate play was lucky no question but even the best QB will get bailed out on occasion. Bret Favre has a lot of TD passes like that.

Our guy didn't turn the ball over and their guy did. That is why we won.

 

I mostly liked him yesterday , but in the 4^ quarter was a little hide

 

That bomb to Britt continued to show that he has one of the best deep balls in the game.

 

His second td pass was an errant throw to scaife that could have just as easily been intercepted

 

That VY throw to Nate Washington is how I envisioned Randy Moss impacting the Titans. It's nice to just throw it up and have a WR make a play. We don't see that often as Titans fans.

 

I thought Vince had a solid game yesterday. Nothing exceptionally out of this world, but he executed productive and safe throws 90% of the time, and his receiver's actually went after balls that were not thrown perfectly. Britt had some great catches (although he probably should have caught the one that fell right through his hands during the first (I think) PI penalty). Nate is catching virtually every ball thrown his way this season suddenly, and Williams had a nice adjustment catch on that ball over the middle that was thrown a little behind him. Vince did have a few "WTF" moments though... As was said elsewhere, he made some great throws, some decent throws and a few duds, but he didn't turn the ball over and his decision making was pretty good over all ! He is never going to be Brees or Brady, but he doesn't have to be as long as he plays smart and doesn't make stupid mistakes.

My only complaint with him yesterday was that he had a few glaring opportunities to run the ball and get some positive yardage on a few select passing plays that broke down, and instead he took an unnecessary sack or two as a result.

I swear Fisher/Dinger must be reading the forum as they totally opened up the playbook and allowed the offense to spread the ball around and executed a much more balanced attack, it was (mostly) fun to watch yesterday ! Also, kept the defense off the field quite a bit more than they had been during our losses which is key !

 

Glad to see the deep throws, the playcalling is finally opening up. VY did have a few inaccurate throw: The 1st throw to Scaife, would of been an ez 10+ yard pickup but VY threw it behind Bo. He had a couple of times were he threw into double/triple coverage while there were lil dump-offs he could of thrown to. I remember one when CJ was wide open and instead VY threw into double coverage. I think VY had an above average/average day.

 

I do not understand where people are getting this from. It went over Scaife and into Britt in stride. If it was an errant throw to scaife then it was an accurate throw to Britt. It was a good game and i like how he took his shots. You gotta trust your receivers will make plays like washington did. He played very efficient against another 3-4 and now we can finally say we beat an elite team.

 

He still makes too many throws that are dangerous and too many throws that are at guys' feet.

Also, I'd like to see him take off and run at a more.

I agree that this was just an average performance for Vince.

 

Can Justin Gage just not play anymore? Washington, Britt, and Williams should be our three receivers.
