Don't act like this has been some sort of stalwart franchise under Fisher. For 10 years, this team has been below mediocre when they reach the playoffs (2-5 to be exact, including two 1st game losses to the Ravens and Chargers the past three years you noted).

You can defend Fisher, that's fine. But don't act like those who dislike him are some sort of impatient nutcases for questioning the way he coaches. His record, especially recently and in the playoffs, DOES NOT speak for itself.

 

If you score 20 points and lose, your defense lost you the game.

IMHO.

We score 20 points and should have won, but the defense cost us the game. If anything we scored too much too quickly.

 

I believe that you have to put the blame on Fisher because at the end of the day, even if Dinger is playcaller (which he is), he only gets as much freedom as he is allowed by Fisher and is obviously only calling plays from Fisher's gameplan.

I really don't see how anyone can put that loss on the defense. Defense was the lone bright spot in the Denver game IMO. Sure they finally broke at the end. But you can only hold a high powered passing offense like that down for so long. Denver absolutely dominated TOP at greater than a 2:1 ratio in the second half. Our offense couldn't stay on the field.

 

Agreed. His only accomplishment is beating Leinart...

 

Our offense and defense never can get on the same page.

Imagine the '08 defense with the '09 (w/Vince) offense?
