Ford tore his Achilles not ACL; however, that is also a damn difficult recovery and he appears to not have lost his explosiveness.

yeah, but it's taken Ford 3 yrs to get back to normal. The one thing it did allow, was for Ford to put on much needed weight, he was always faster than any of our DEs.

You always want production out of any 1st rounder that's not a QB ASAP.

I didn't really care for the pick, but do did expect alot of production from him this year. Sucks to see this, and especially after it not coming off as a serious injury went he got back up and jogged off.

I really don't recall much about Ford from 08 to know if he was buried on the depth chart or still recovering from the 07 injury.

Ford was pretty damn good last year. But, that still means 2 yrs to get back to form.

It's way, way harder to come back from a torn Achilles than a torn ACL. You are comparing apples to oranges. Ford's recovery should not be compared to Morgan's upcoming recovery.

ACL surgery has advanced to the point where guys can get back on the field in under a year (Wes Welker). Morgan should be ready to go by opening day next year.

I think each ACL injury is different. Some bounce back much faster than others. Seeing Morgan trot off the field is encouraging and he should be ready by camp next season.

it really depends on the strength of the stabilizing muscles when an ACL is involved.

This is not good news to wake up and see. Really do hate it.
