That's just it, not about emotion. It's not about love or hate it is about results and 2 of the last 3 seasons we have made the playoffs and done so without an elite QB. He has made the playoffs 50% more often than he has had a losing season.

That's another thing that is moronic, taking those 13 wins for granted as if Fisher had nothing to do with it but blaming him entirely for the playoff loss when he had nothing to do with 2 fumbles and a missed FG. Anybody who watched that Ravens game knows why we lost and it wasn't Fisher who cost us that game.

How many 13-3 teams has Kerry Collins quaterbacked? Name them.
We have a poster who regularly writes as if we are losing 2/3 of our games. Or do you not notice that?

Out of all the players, there have only been two that we let go that I felt like Fisher and co. needed to receive firing squad status for: McNair and Mason. McNair because you knew he only had a couple of seasons left and he was the absolute best warrior I've seen in my lifetime on a football field when it came to playing through some serious injuries. I would have been more than happy as a fan to watch him in a Titan uniform his last few years. Also, where would VY be in his development if he would have had that time under McNair's guidance? Mason because it was way too early to let a Clutch receiver of his talent go and he is still better than any of the receivers on our field as far as consistency.

Bulluck lost any allegiance from me when he lost his class from the little comment of how he was looking forward to hitting VY and CJ. He is not a Titan now and I hope these two break both his ankles this Sunday with a plethoria of juke moves.

Think about it, folks. Jeff Fisher doesn't negotiate contracts. That entire process is on the GM. So is this about the organization's approach to vets or Fisher's?

In the case of both KVB and Bulluck, what are you wanting the GM of the Titans to do? Call players who they don't want back and fake interest? KVB was a shell of his former self and the Titans had/have players with upside on the roster. Bulluck is coming off a major injury. He didn't exactly have other NFL teams lining up for his services. Signing Witherspoon should have told him all he needed to know.

In my eyes, Fisher was dumb to make promises to Mawae who he may have truly wanted back. His comment to the media each and every time he's asked about bringing back someone should be "(insert vet name here) has been a great player for us but I am not in the position to discuss long-term team strategy or negotiations with individual players. However this works out, we wish (insert vet name here) the best."

VY had a 70% completion rating. Why not give him a chance to finish the game? The outcome was still a loss with Collins. If VY is our QB, let him finish the game!

NEWS FLASH: Sometimes coaches and GMs say things that aren't necessarily true. Sometimes they even hurt the feelings of their players (gasp!). They do it because it's in the best interest of the team.

If anyone is surprised or offended by this, then I recommend you stop being a football fan.

He had a 20% interception ratio. He also only attempted 10 passes for 66 yards thereabouts. I believe the first two went to Gage for about 30 of those yards. So this stat is not all that great.

same old excuse every time no matter who posts... fisher didnt fumble the ball, fisher didnt miss the field goal, fisher didnt throw the int.... your exactly right, he also didnt coach em up or get em ready for the big game.
imo he's out coached and out done in most big games, regardless of how you wanna spin it the wins arent there and after a decade and a half lets stop pretending the light bulb is just all of the sudden come on and we'll become a team that goes deep into the playoffs.
collins has been to the super bowl fyi... or are you some how suggesting that under fisher, collins has been "coached" into some awesome elite QB or that it was collins who made us a 13-3 team! please tell me thats it!
he was asked to manage the game and im sure any avg QB coulda done the same....fact remains we were once again bounced in the 1st game.

( i know this isnt the topic of the thread.... i'll stop now)

This is the attitude that pisses me off. Who is he talking about really? A coach named Morningwig?

Seriously what does that type of comment have to do with reality? We have the 8th best record over the last 10 years we have been to the playoffs 5 times in the last 10 years.

A poster writes as if all we do is lose but Jeff fisher only has 4 losing seasons. So give him a high 5 for that?

That sort of continues my point. Fisher only allows Vince to throw 10 passes all game, but trust Collins to throw 25?

Coach them up? They won 13 games with Kerry Collins at QB!!! Replace Collins with Brady and i bet we win that game. Give Fisher Brady and suddenly he is a genius!

It's not an excuse either just a fact. When otherwise reliable players become unreliable at the worst possible moment i'm not sure what the coach can do about it.

Didn't help that we lost CJ in that game either but i'm sure you think fisher should have coached him up to play with that injury.
