I'm no VY homer, but he is by far the best QB on the Titans. fish face's decision to go with the worst QB on the team PO'd me.

The alternative is to see the big picture without burnt orange glasses. Saying our QBs aren't SB material on a message board that maybe 50 different people consistently post on isn't tearing them down. You think Collins or Young read this? Has he gotten better? Heck yes. Can you really see him leading a team to 3 wins in a row over the leagues 3 best teams in Jan? If you truly can then more power to ya. History says it won't happen.

 

Why then!!!?? What has Vince Young done in the NFL to earn so much more respect than Donnie Nickey? Is it hitting Nickey in the head? Missing the team plane? Quitting on the team in the opener of 2008? More INTs than TD's? Zero playoff wins? Help me understand again why I should hold Vince Young in the same regards as an Eddie George, McNair, Fisher, CJ or even Chris Hope!!??

Why is Collins a loser? Damn son, if making millions, starting at QB in a Super Bowl and leading a team to a 13-3 season at 40 years old makes you a loser wtf are we? I admit Collins is not the guy to lead us to the big show but he was the QB in a 13-3 season!!! The Collins led Titans moved the ball against the Steelers D better than 90% of the league in 2008 and 2009. VY had done virtually nothing in almost 3 quarters Sunday so "fish face" gave the guy with some success moving the ball against Pitt a chance and was a tremendous TD grab by Nate Washington away from lining up for a 2pt conversion that would force OT.

Why again was that decision such a catastrophe?

 

agreed VY has proven only 1 thing really, he is better right now than kfc.

The fact that the O looked so bad is fish faces fault and he was hoping, without reason IMO, that kfc would be able to cover up his own ineptitude - on that one sunday.

kfc has proven to be a loser at Carolina, Louisiana, New York, California and now Tennessee. 3-5 in the POs granted fish face probably thinks thats OK, but its not really.

 

Lots of opinions flying around, how about some clarity? VY deserves the rest of the season to prove himself. Collins is not as bad as the VY homers make him out to be. I think it's obvious Fisher isn't 100% commited to VY. Fisher doesn't deserve all the blame for losing to Pittsburgh, or starting 0-6 last year. People loved when he stuck with Collins in 2008, and we finished 13-3. But, they hate him now? You can't pick and choose. Finally, we were one catch away away from potentially tying the game. Sometimes, more than anything else, the most important thing about football is luck. That's why this game is so great.

 

As a newbie, I can't start a new thread...but I thought Keith Bulluck comments about VY getting bench were interesting.

He's just pissy because the Titans didn't offer him a contract. He's trying to stir the pot here like everyone else who has gone on to another team.

It probably chaps his behind A LOT that our defense is playing better than when he was here, with two scrubs, Allred and Winborn, and Witherspoon looking better than he did last year.

 

How many superbowl rings???? Oh yeah thats right 0!!!!! that just makes him look worse that hes had that many good teams and has never won a superbowl!!!! I believe its due to him being stubborn all the time and reluctantly changes his gameplan!

 

DBC please leave you troll! you have never pulled for vince and you only come around when he has a bad game! Just admit you were wrong last year and you are gonna be wrong this year as well after we go 11-5!!!!
