i have the ability to look over the "silly" posts... obviously people are not gunna be fired, i certainly dont think anything like that will happen after this game or any like it this season.
its not my job to raise the IQ level on this board, didnt think it was anyones really... i just find it funny that you have one group yellin "hey look at me i know what im talkin about" then your on the other side yellin " no dummies, im right listen to me" .
dont matter who yells the loudest you both look weak to me.

I don't consider that my job either but i particularly can't stand fans who just whine all the time like Duece Gloat Wayne. We should have an award named after him for worst whiner.

If Jeff Fisher was such a rotten coach then why do we have a better record than 24 other teams this decade? How has he won 55% of his games? But we lost a game so he is terrible?

All i see are rants with little substance.

i get it, you think fisher is a great coach and does lil wrong.... not really my arguement at the moment.
i understand this thread as gotten a bit off topic with some, but my WHOLE point was that fisher clearly doesnt want VY. i think its time for him to admit that and we need to figure out our next move. i understand that benching a QB isnt the end all to end all, but when you look atthe ENTIRE history its pretty clear he doesnt have a ton of faith in VY.
which is also fine, im not a diehard vince fan nor am i a hater of his, just quit with the crap and get a franchise QB that you, the owner, and the team will stand behind

I think Coach Fisher overreacted. I noticed unlike most games where he's pretty collected (unless there is a bad call), Sunday he was really animated.
I think he is emotionally invested in the Titans/Steelers rivalry.
I think the HE made the game bigger than the other 16 games.
Hence, pulling VY for doing what many QBs do throught a season..He had a bad game.

And as others have said, given the history, this was a BAD MOVE.

He will be spending the next week explaining himself and made an unecessary story line for only WEEK 2 in the season. SMH...

This is just speculation, but I wonder if there isn't more going on than we realize. Perhaps Fisher was unhappy with Vince's preparation for the game or something like that, and that's why he had the extra-short leash.

    Again, just speculation.

This was something I was actually hoping was the case to give some type of rhyme or reason to the benching, besides him having a bad game.

Maybe he said something or displayed a poor attitude during the week or on the sidelines?

Either way, benching VY was still not a good move.
I'm not a VY fan, but this short trigger is really unfair to him.
Especially when last week he and Heimandinger (sp) were singing his praises.

I thought it was a bad move on Fishers part. There's many posts on this board saying "maybe" VY would have moved the team down and scored once Pittsburgh went prevent like Collins did. Or asking when is the last time VY beat a really good team. Well we as fans and the coaching staff are going to continue to not know the answers to these questions if you pull the guy out when things aren't going great.

I don't know why they only gave VY 10 pass attempts in 3 quarters and Collins got more than double that in one quarter. I don't buy the 30% of his passes were intercepted arguement. If a QB throws a pick on his first pass of a game you don't stop throwing because 100% of his passes gets picked. Show some confidence in your leader.

The thing that bothers me the most is that I feel fairly certain that had Collins started the game he would have struggled just as VY did...BUT I dont think Fisher would have ever pulled Collins from that game. He wouldn't take Collins out after 6 bad games last season but has no problem taking Young out after 3 bad quarters. He did it for "a spark"? He didn't think the team needed a spark early last season?

It's hard for a coach to build a gameplan around a temperamental and immature quarterback who is limited in both intelligence and overall knowledge of the game.

    Harsh? Maybe.

You are fooling yourself if you think that this kid is the answer. When he proves himself against a top five defense and WINS, we'll talk.
