Because you don't want to get your very good back up RB hurt in case Chris goes down early in the next game .... :obvious:

Fisher said, " You don't worry about people getting hurt. You only start the second string if you think they need work, and Ringer doesn't need the work".

Back in 2001 Ron Mcbride of the Utah Running Utes had this amazing RB who could have been the next Barry Sanders with his potential and always breaking one. We were up 40 to 3 or something and kept his starting RB in the game at 4th quarter. Next play our RB got injured and out for the year. Cost us the season and his job plus our RB was never the same, his career was over pretty much, just became a back up as a shell the next year.

So it does bother me we kept CJ in for so long.

You keep him in the game to get into game shape for the Steelers. Week 1, you don't pull your starters. They had two weeks off. They need to get in 4qtrs so they are ready for the rest of the season. It won't be a 3/4 game next week. Next week will be a knock down drag out and they need to be fit.

I disagree with the all or nothing theory. He ran over someone last week for the first down. Lowered and drove. And how can anyone say his yardage is inconsistent when he was the all time yardage leader for a season. I mean seriously. You don't do that being inconsistent. That is the epitomy of consistencyt. If you compare him to all other backs he's no different. Except for the fact that his big runs are bigger. He makes something out of nothing all the time. His little runs are big too. He hits holes no other back could hit.
