Vince is awesome

I'll explain. He beat some good teams last year like the Cardinals and niners and Texans to prove he can play QB and play it well. We all know he can play. Im talking about to enter the next level. The elite level he has to beat teams like the Colts, Pats, Packs, and Chargers. Teams that have high powered offenses. He has to put up bi numbers when needed. Last year he did not play well against SD. That's a playoff team, we MUST be able to beat teams like that. Im confident he can do it, but until he does it, and does it consistently, he will always have doubters and raise questions.

 

I'm as big a VY fan as the next guy, but I have to agree with this. In our 8-2 stretch, we lost to the only 2 playoff teams we played(other than the Cardinals with Matt Leinart who is now cut mind you). I do think that the Colts game could have really gone differently provided we had some better red zone playcalling and no Nate deep ball drop.

Now that I think about it, the Texans probably would've been a playoff team had we not beaten them. So there's that.

 

Didn't this guy beat the Giants the year they won the super bowl? Or maybe it was a year later......who cares that was a win.

The only thing Vince needs in order to become a good QB is consistency. He was a good QB today and a good QB last season, he just needs to be a good QB next week.

 

Vy will be good as long as cj is back there, maybe even great. I was very pleased with his game today

 

We will beat the Chargers this season. Mark my words. I will be at that game too.

They are at the worst they've been in a long, long time. I'm not saying they're bad, but it's hard to give them much love now that they've lost LT, Cromartie, Merriman is off roids, and Jackson wants out (or they want him out).

The one and only thing they have going for them is Philip Rivers. He's good. A huge douche, but good. I see them going 9-7 this year which is extremely sad considering we would be getting at least 11 wins in that division year in and year out.

 

Yeah, that the way it is. They keep raising the bar so he has to clear a new hurdle to make them change their mind. Not thinking that most QB's takes a while to become top QB is this league.

That's a pretty impressive stat line. VYs decision making improved alot. He knew when to run and when to pass. His play-action ability has gotten alot better (thanks for CJ). He also looks alot more accurate. Hopefully, we can bump up his passing attempts to 22-25 a game and see what he can do then.

 

If VY can beat the Ravens in the playoff, that should about do it! :ha:

 

I also liked that he fought through after smacking his hand on a helmet. Didn't take himself out, and came back and threw the ball. The fumble didn't frustrate him. He didn't force things that weren't there. Those are some of the little things that are good signs. I think the game is slowing down for him, and he's got a strong arm - all he really needs now is to put it together for a 16 (hopefully more) game season.
