well the first thing i do is turn of fight for the fumble thats one of the dumbest things they have put into the game you can do that in the options
and i wasnt calling anybody a nerd or anything for wanting to spend extra money for they team its just something i feel ea shouldnt do and i feel your pain cause i have always rolled with the titans on any football game even in the dark days[billy volek] but our defense isnt really that bad they got low ratings but i found if u keep fresh guys on the d line itll help qb pressure alot and it doesnt take a second to sub guys in and out i like how they did that just do it while u pick your play

and for your other question go to the madden shop u can buy 70000 coins for 1600 points[$20]and theres a number of things u can buy with the coins
3000 coins will get u 20 scouting reports so u can scout your online opponents
1500 coins will get u a 1 game boost pack for the otp online game
and there is a bunch of stuff for franchise u can buy with microsoft points that should have came with the game anywhere from 40 up to 800 points each

and as for the 2k5 rosters its not something they put out its just that that game has such a strong following that u can get updated rosters and schedule on the internet then u have to get a transfer cable and transfer it from your computer to the xbox hard drive yourself but its well worth it next time your in a video game store go to the original xbox section and check it out u can usually find them for 2 or 3 dollars even if u dont update the rosters its still fun to play with mcnair and george

 

man i was just looking at the bengals their defense ratings are off the wall their starting cornerbacks have a 93 and a 92 rating but when u play online keep a eye out for other people using boosters
i have not played online yet cause i dont know if ill keep this game and i might get more money for it if i havnt activated the online code yet and plus nba2k11 is right around the corner so that will probably occupy my time when im not watching football
i havnt bought a basketball game in years but that game looks like its gonna be real good

BTW, I'm getting fairly realistic (offline) game results on All-Pro with all CPU sliders set to 100, except for CPU broken tackles. I have that set at 50 because it's absolutely ridiculous otherwise. A guy like Pierre Garcon will truck over Tulloch on a regular basis. I also turned injuries down a bit (I think to 40) because they seem to happen much too often this year. I actually managed my first loss with these settings... 24-28 to the freaking Texans. :sad2: It was a great game though. These settings can still be a bit on the easy side depending on your skill level but it's miles better than All-Madden (which is simply CPU cheating to the max), Pro (maxed out), or regular old All-Pro IMO. It's not perfect, but at least I'm not holding opponents to under 10 points every time and rushing for 200+yds/game.

 

Haven't ran into that yet. Hope I never do. Lame. The worst thing that's happened to me so far was a game freeze with about 30 seconds left to go in the 4th. It wasn't your typical game-ending freeze either. I was having a great game against the Jags. We were matching each other score for score all game long. The score was 35-35 with less than a minute to go. Jags are driving down the field on me (MJD was having an amazing game) then Finny gets the INT and takes it to the house for the would-be win. The game is showing the replay and the image on the screen freezes. But the audio and gameplay still continue. I managed to kick the PAT without being able to see anything. Kicked off.... was calling plays and everything. All the while the same screenshot of Finnegan's INT stayed up on the screen. Weird. I had to just shut the system off because it was going to be nearly impossible to navigate my way to the game save without being able to see anything. I really wish they would give us the ability to save mid-game. It can't be that hard. It's so frustrating to spend nearly an hour playing a game just to have it freeze at the end. IIRC you used to be able to save at any point in the game years ago.

O.K maybe it isn't that bad but they definitely tweeked this game in some negative ways. Why the hello would you change the kicking? EA needs to realize that over the years of making changes just for the sake of changing they actually found the way it should be. And kicking was one of them. Now switch to X >>>>>> X? I was hitting 100/100 in my first game against the computer but online it's a nightmare. It took punting/fg's and extra points out of the game for me. I have to go for it on fourth downs regardless of situation because my punts go 15 yards shanked out of bounds. I used to think my connection was good but seeing how hard it is to kick i'm not sure.

The tackling isn't up to par either IMO. When I play i'm one of those guys that will ALWAYS use the hitstick. High or low. In 2011 going low just means the player will jump you and going high they just spin off. It happens almost every play. No laying the wood in this game. Am I missing something?

Also calling audibles on offense and defense are whole new beasts of their own.

EA needs/needed to understand they have the customer by the know what. It's BS but they don't have to change just to justify a new game. Update the rosters, keeping adding to the graphics and realness, bring in the draft class, and maybe throw in some new game play ideas but don't change the game play itself. It's annoying having to "get used" to a different style every year.
