The problem is that both your points can be applied to both Bulluck/Agent and the Titans. So it makes no sense (that either of them would do it).

I imagine the truth is somewhere in the middle. The Titans sent Keith a text message or a posted something on facebook. Or the letter was lost in the mail.

Sentiment aside Bulluck knew he wasn't going to start here but has a chance to start for the giants depending on his knee.

What other reason did he need? He wasn't going to put Tulloch on the bench.

Who ever is lying will never own up to it. they have gone this far with the lie.

imo i think Bulluck and his agent are the liars. i cant see the Titans never contacting a man they worked with for 10 years. i think Bulluck made it hard for the Titans to contact him, i think he wanted it to end like this so he could go to NY and not be hated by the Fans in TN.

It's possible. However, letting a guy like Keith who has given the team so much know you won't be resigning him via text/facebook/letter is still incredibly lame and insulting IMHO.

kind of weird everything that keith bulluck has supposedly done for the titans. His job. He was paid millions of dollars and should be able to never work again in his lifetime, by doing what he was employed to do. If he can no longer do what he is employed to do(which is really what should be in question here) then he should cease to be employed by said employer. Period. The titans don't owe him anything, he already got his money for the time he worked here. Now he's working for someone else and will be getting their money. Football is a job, and should be treated as such. If you can't do the job, you no longer are employed.

Clearly, you believe what you want to believe, and not many minds can be changed here.

I, for one, believe that there is most likely fault on both sides, and that neither side is 100% telling the truth.

I cannot imagine that at no point between the first week of January and when Keith signed his contract the other day did anyone from the Titans talk or have contact with Keith or his agent. Really? That's remarkably stupid from so many standpoints. I totally agree/understand that they probably didn't make him an offer to join the team at any point. They clearly didn't want to do so until he had gotten farther along in his rehab.

Also, think about it from the other side... does anyone really believe that Keith's agent let him sign his contract with the Giants without having a conversation about whether the Titans were willing to match or beat it? Sure, the Titans wouldn't have agreed to that, but can anyone really believe that the conversation didn't happen?

I'm sure that the Titans treated it as "business" and did put any personal touches in, like calling Keith personally (though actually a violation of ethics), or giving his agent some kind of offer to work off of other teams with, but let's not pretend that the Titans were dodging his calls and radio silent for seven months. That's naive.

I don't mind a coach dancing around the truth to maintain a competitive advantage, but Fisher constantly comes off as a pompous turd when he speaks.

"Adam Schefter reported [Saturday, September 14th] on NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning that during last season’s AFC Wild Card game against San Diego, Young wanted to stop playing at halftime and had to be persuaded to take the field with his teammates in the second half."

This Info came out after the Week 1 incident against Jax. Jeff Fisher squashed it pretty quickly.

But I recall my conversation sitting next to Keith Bulluck on a plane just a few weeks after the Giants upset the Pats in the SB and I asked KB about VY. He said "I don't even want to talk about him" with a disgusted look. The SD game was just a month or so before. When the Schefter story came out, it made perfect sense.
VY won the respect of KB back eventually but I know something happened in that SD game.

Bulluck has a better history of being direct and accurate to the media than Fisher/FO. Just what advantage does Bulluck gain by stating (and his agent) that the FO did not return their calls AFTER an offer was made by the Giants?

Nothing in Bullluck's tenure suggests he is a man that would make a statement like that to simply discredit the franchise. I don't think it is naive at all to believe that the FO didn't contact Bulluck. Mawae has said the same thing- it is naive to believe that these two are both making inaccurate statements?
