do you think the stadium media people could make a Kiffin mix video.. media out takes... pseudo Kiffin taking a pie in the face... idiot press conference remarks... Imagine how how much the fans could get stirred up in the stadium.... Maybe they could cut a few clips of Norm Chow in there for good measure... (not that he's with USC anymore)

So assuming USC is found guilty of what they are being charged with, does Pola come back to the Titans? And if so, does anyone think Coach Fisher would even want him back on the staff after leaving with Kiffin without any communication aside from the "goodbye?"

He doesn't come back. Tennessee just gets a whole boat load of cash. The idea is to punish them financially. I think $6M sounds about right. :greedy:

Because Lane is a spoiled little brat that didn't have Monte around to blister his a** with a switch everytime he stepped out of line.

no, and they don't want him back at this point either. They just want something financial and to make a statement "Don't F--- around with the big leagues" to anyone who might try to do this to any NFL team in the future (poach an NFL coach without going through the proper channels/protocol)

No doubt Titans will win this lawsuit. Pola ends up looking for a job and Kiffin says eh.

Seriously, what is Monte doing in all of this. He has a great reputation and history and his son is making him look like as much of an as him. Hey Monte, talk to your boy and tell him he is the poster child of doing things the wrong way.

Understandable. Kiffin is a little snake, I know everyone jumped on Al Davis for the firing, and the press conference and everything, but it looks like Mr. Davis was right all along. Kudos to him, he doesn't receive enough of it these days sadly.

to everyone complaining about this lawsuit, there are several things to keep in mind. 1) I believe Pola was asked about his intentions with USC and he told the Titans he wasn't interested 2) he signed a contract and was paid under said contract and knew what he was legally bound to 3) USC and Kiffin knew OR SHOULD HAVE known about the contract. It is their duty to perform reasonable due dilligence, and the first thing a member of their legal team would ask is if there is anything in a contract that prohibits him from talking with them about his contract.

The bottom line is that Pola made a committment to the Titans, and has been paid under same in consideration for him prepping and coaching this season. He violated his written contract, allowed or didn't mind that USC was doing the same, and jumped ship at the last second and put the Titans in a bind.

So I suppose you just want them to look the other way? That's insane. As a BUSINESS, you protect your rights and your name by enforcing your legal rights when someone walks over them and flaunts it in your face. The cowardly thing to do would be what some of you advise, walk away. The Titans are simply expecting people to live up to their contracts, and when they don't, they must pay the consequences. If you don't, then people will think they can walk all over you.

And, anyone who honestly thinks a lawsuit gets settled in months, knows little if anything about our legal system. This will be several years in the making, and with a TN judge in charge, I doubt very seriously it will be a distraction during football season, at least for the Titans. And frankly, we really don't give a flying @#+$ what the "national" people think about us. Only folks from USC are that vain...
