^^^ Gunny, the list is long of productive vets with whom we cut ties. Everybody knows the business side of it, that isn't the issue with which many take exception. (The cap issue was especially not the case this year with Bulluck this year.)

It is the manner in which the organization treats its team leaders- both the on field ones and community leaders/good PR men. McNair was locked out. Neither Bulluck nor his agent even got a call. Eddie was shown the door. There is a reason that our formers players feel bitter about their tenure here. The Titans reputation of not paying players and/or being "cheap" is well deserved based off this type of actions. Other teams face the same cap regulations/situation as we do but don't have the type of reputation with personnel that this organization does. There is a reason for it.

    And that list would include?

Just because there is no cap doesn't mean we should have re-signed him. If he is done. He is done.

And really? You have an issue with Eddie shown the door? He was done. We held on to him for way too long.

It's not cheap to not keep guys who are no longer doing it for the team anymore. It's just smart. You hold on for sentimental reasons, NFL teams don't. Never have, never will.

And what rep? Who else says we are cheap other then people on this forum?

Would those of you who were "meh" about the Witherspoon signing be excited if the Titans re-signed Bulluck?

2 people gave a high 5 to that?

Is that all there is to playing linebacker in the nfl, blitzing?

Based on that logic we should trade CJ and sign Eddie George to run the ball. He is the all time team rushing leader. Maybe earl Campbell could be contacted.

You are a damn M.D. for crying out loud can't you understand the effects of being 33 1/2 and having a major ACL injury?

The Giants just paid $2.5M to a guy who can't suit up and play right now! Will Witherspoon can suit up and play right now!

Witherspoon at age 30(He will turn 30 next month) is comparable to what Bulluck would be at age 33 without the knee injury. With the knee injury there is no comparison.

Titans are setting a tone not a good one. Two things real quick Keith Bulluck had 2 offers the other being the Cardinals and there is a video of his work out on twitter you should check out.

FYI the 2 contemporaries most similar to Keith Bulluck as players were Derrick Brooks and Donnie Edwards.

Brooks final productive year was at age 35.

Edwards final productive year was at age 34.

Bulluck will be 33 1/2 when the season starts and has an injury that normally takes a year to fully rehab from. Do the math.

Bulluck same as Brooks? Not close. Brooks had 11 Pro Bowls. Bulluck 1.

Edwards is a much closer comparison but he didn't go into his 11th season coming off an ACL either. I truly hope Bulluck is a beast this season but I don't think it's beyond the realm of possibilities that the Titans had enough info to feel they could do better.

Actually I'm not wrong. The Ravens kept their biggest name player and he is still on the roster. We cut McNair in the worst way possible just a year after many of the other cuts.

So clearly, like I said, no team in the NFL has blown up the way our team did. I don't see how that's so hard to grasp.
