He put the Titans there his Rookie year but Lendale and Crumpler blew it for the rest of the team!

Just because $22mil is gone here doesn't mean it's free to give CJ but I get your point.

Let's do what you say here and give him $22mil. His base for four years can only be roughly $1.75mil, $2.14mil, $2.55mil and $2.95mil. That's a total $31.4mil for four years.

I'd be shocked if he accepted this though it is better than Jones-Drew's deal last season. The Jackson deal of five-years, $48.5mil is closer to what CJ is shooting for.

They've seen two years of it... and if y'all hadn't twisted his ankle, we'd be Super Bowl champs. ;) CJ would've been RoTY and Superbowl MVP.

If CJ weren't a sissy we might have been SB champs. That game changed my entire outlook on CJ.

If you're not even limping while walking around on the sidelines in that type of game? Man up. He was scared. Phantom injuries...

From what I've been hearing over the past month it seems to me he is convinced accomplishing a feat only five other RBs in the history of the NFL has done makes him an exception to the rule; not his fault I just think he is getting s****y advice from his agent not liking the fact he is probably only getting $50,000 a year off his star client. (just be thankful he doesn't have Rosenhaus as his agent...yet)

MPO though trade him for pieces that would turn Tennessee into a Super Bowl dynasty overnight.

I don't blame him for being scared of a murderer trying to kill him on the field.

Here's my problem with the whole "just give him $20 million up front this year". In two years, CJ will already have the bonus money, and his salary will be around $1.5 million. What's to keep him from saying, "I deserve more than $1.5 million a year, and I'm gonna hold out until I get a new contract"? Thats whats happening now. He got a $7 million bonus upfront, but now he's saying he can't play for "$550,000", despite the fact that he is actually making more than that because he already received the bonus money.

It just doesn't make much business sense to guarantee a guy $30 million upfront. No matter who he is. There's too many things that can happen. If he blows up a knee, you're out $30 million for nothing. You just can't take that chance.

Work out a deal to get him some sort of bonus until this CBA is cleared up. There just isn't a way to satisfy him with any contract negotiated under the current rules.

There lies the problem the Titans along with every other team in the league will not renegotiate any player's current contract without a CBA in place.

see thats where i see a problem.why wouldnt you do that?thats like saying there not gunna sign the rookies this year because they dont know what next year will bring.you think sam bradford is gunna get a contract like chris johnson because theres not a cba in place?no hes gunna be probly be paid like the top 10 player in the league if not better.so thats not an excuse for me.

We shouldn't have made fun of his car. He wouldn't even want a new contract right now.
