I liked old Drew, very versatile. Made some great catches that year, missed some easy ones also.
I seem to remember him catching 2 or 3 great catches on that last possession to at least give them a chance. He dropped that last catch. At first, I thought he had been hit by two defenders that caused the break-up non catch. But the ball hit his hands before there was contact.
I think Drew heard footsteps. Had he caught it I believe it would have given our kicker a fair chance at making the FG, and more than likely winning the game.

Pretty certain McNair was pressured and he just heaved it.

It had to be like -20 that night too. Can't fault bennett for dropping an errant throw. We were lucky he even got his frozen hands on it. And lucky that McNair even got off the throw off with an umarked blitzer in his grill. I thought it was good effort all the way around and it could have ended a lot worse.

The Eagles killed the run and shoot one Monday night 13-6. That one hurt. It was the first time I recall anyone stopping our offense. Moon fumbled three snaps. Ernest Givens has his nose broke. And ego of our offense was put in its place by the snot nosed Buddy Ryan. Really dissapointing on national TV.

definitely when we lost the patriots in the playoffs, so many blown opportunities and yeah the final play broke my heart. Oh yeah and Al del greco missing that field goal *sigh* just breaks my heart thinking about it. Another one that was dissapointing was the afc championship vs the raiders, great first half, and then we basically gave the game away with all them turnovers, was it robert holcomb that fumbled the second half kickoff ?

the way i remember it bennett was open it wasnt a touchdown pass but it could have been with some easy YAC but it would have been a first down to keep the drive alive and also in field goal range
steve was doin his thing in the pocket keepin the play alive and got the ball to bennett and you could see plain as day [and remember HD wasnt around back then]that he didnt follow the ball all the way to his hands he turned his head before he made the catch not because he heard footsteps[even thats not acceptable]but because he could make a play and the ball went through his hands and hit him in the chest

2000 raven playoff game....we dominate the game statistically hands down yet plenty of mistakes did us in especially our kicker. Ravens go on to win it all.....that was our year.

Bills playoff collapse followed up by losing to the Chiefs and Montana the next year. Oilers were best team both years and should have had 2 SB titles

Some games that no one has mentioned that stick out to me:

Patriots-Titans 2003, week 5. The Titans had no business losing that game. They were moving the ball up and down the field all day on NE and there were two plays that really cost them. The first was a blown tackle on one of the NE WR's, I think it was Mike Echols, possibly Tony Beckham, that allowed him to run for about 15 yards and a 1st down on 3rd and long. Had he made the stop NE kicks a FG and it's a tie game.

The second play was just before the 2 minute warning McNair inexplicably throws a pass to Calico that is picked by Ty Law for a TD. There was no reason to even run the play because the Titans should have been trying to kill time to set up their game winning TD. And if the Titans had won that game they would have won the south and who knows what else. I'm still upset about that one 7 years later because I was there. It was probably the worst feeling I've ever felt after a regular season loss.

Two other games were both Ravens-Titans games that probably cost the Titans a playoff spot. In the first one, in 2001, the Titans lost by 6 because they couldn't get 1 yard on the final play on MNF. I'm sure you all remember that one, the failed QB sneak. If they win that game then chances are they also beat Cle and Cin in the final 2 weeks because the games would have been meaningful, go 10-6, and are a wild card team.

The second Ravens game was in 2006. The Titans had a 26-7 lead and blew it to McNair. The refs botched a fumble call that would have given the Titans great field position and instead I think the Ravens scored on the drive or at least kept the Titans from the field position. Then, with under a minute to go, a kick by Bironas that looks like it's going to be on line to give the Titans the lead and probably the victory is blocked. If the Titans win that they're 9-7 and a wild card team.

The Titans lost a heart breaker to Pittsburgh, also in 2001, when the Titans, who moved the ball at will all day, were driving for the winning score and Frank Wycheck forgot to turn around on a Steve McNair pass that was picked for a TD. The Titans blew a double digit halftime lead in that game. Another game that had they won they'd probably have been in the playoffs.

One more that many here probably don't remember was in Seattle in 1996 when the Oilers, lining up for the winning field goal, had the kick blocked and Seattle returned it for a TD to break the tie. The Oilers ended up 8-8 and one game out of the playoffs that season.
