I'm very sorry but I do NOT understand that! A contract is a contract! I don't think a young football player should make more money than the president of the United States - after only 2 good seasons. That's ridiculous!

I'm not a bad guy tho so I would offer him a bonus for winning the AFC South championship and another even bigger bonus for winning the Super Bowl - if he's on the field

    3 things on the bolded...

1-The president's BASE salary is 400k. I'm almost certain that they pocket campaign contributions, "gifts", side businesses, etc.

2-The president is merely a figurehead in a mafia that tells him what he's going to do (or NOT going to do). Search around a while, and you'll see what I mean.

3-"young football players" are sources of entertainment. If that particular source of entertainment brings in $XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX amount of money, those "young football players" deserve a fair share of what THEY bring in to the entertainment source. Nobody complains when Tom Cruise makes half a billion dollars on a summer blockbuster...but when a running back wants to be paid like a franchise back, it's a problem all of a sudden?

A contract in the NFL is not the same as a contract in the rest of a world. Teams can stop paying players whenever they want (by cutting them). That would be illegal under the terms of normal contracts.

If teams have no obligation to fulfill their side of the contract, then it shouldn't come as any surprise when players try to do the same thing.

I know anyone can write anything there, but the guy makes good points. Nothing on gotitans is worth anything, yet we all log-in to see whats up. The article is relevant to the topic here, maybe you don't agree but the things said make sense.

^I get that simple minded people like to dismiss what they don't like. But the Titans haven't won a playoff game since 2003 and need more guys like the Patriots and Colts have. Notice those two teams win all the time and use multiple sources for production. Both of those clubs SUCK running wise, but do run efficiently on 3rd downs. Again River, I don't want to move him, but if he's out he's not helping us win. And we could use the extra picks/ or players who will play under their contracts.

What does anyone gain by C.J. not playing week-1? Everyone involved loses.

CJ didn't have two good seasons. He had 1 good season and 1 amazing season after that. If you're the best at what u do shouldn't you get paid for what u do? He out performed his contract and he wants what he deserves. You can't say you wouldn't want a raise of you're doing more the you're expected and some in a job
