We don't pay good players. We pay for crappy ones (Nate) or just let them go be better for someone else.

CJ won't be a Titan for long; we're too stupid of a org.

I don't think it's really fishers fault, but I do think Fisher is trying to convince CJ2K to come back in a way. It's the cheap as# front office faults for not paying a great back we have.

I think a deal will be worked out with CJ. Out of all the situations we've had in the past with good players, our running game is the most important aspect of our offense. They're not going to let CJ go when we don't have any proven NFL backs.

These type of situations have happened before between teams and players. Something will be worked out.

    Who?

Derrick Mason? That's the ONLY one.

    Kearse.
    Haynesworth.
    Rolle.
    McNair.
    George.
    Wade.
etc... all went somewhere else and looked much worse.

I love CJ and hope he is a Titan for life. That being said we are talking about negotiations with a player 40% into his contract. The front office is feeling pressure from other owners and G.M's as well. If the Titans cave they will be setting a dangerous precedent. CJ should have some bonus money re-structured so he can play and be happy this year. I am sure the Titans will work on his contract to some extent. They are in a tough spot. I personally would like to see what CJ has left after the exhausting year last year. I would hate to back the brinks truck up for a player who has had his best year already. We would all be on this site in a couple of years, complaining on how the Titans front office bankrupt our team and set them back for years to come. I hope they agree on something soon, I for one am tired of the talking heads stirring the pot.

fyi Haynesworth doesn't count cuz' we all know he was gonna go into 100% lazy mode once pay-day arrived. He would of been worse period even if still here.

I'll give you the other heap of players tho :p

Are you gonna argue, however, that you think CJ would lose a step if he went to go play for a big market team due to the FO's decisions? I highly doubt.

I agree with Deuce. I'd say 4/5 players we let go end up doing little to nothing elsewhere.

    Other examples:
    Travis LaBoy
    Drew Bennett

Yes. You can argue that. The Titans have had a top 3 O-Line the past few seasons. You think CJ is doing everything on his own?

You can't honestly tell me that if he were to go to a team with an average line that he wouldn't lose a step... because that's nonsense. He would more than lose a step. It wouldn't even be close. His ypc would drop off at least 1.5 yds.
