Not sure how exactly to title this, and this sort of thread has probably been posted, but I couldn't find it in the search, so...

Basically, I just want to know who you guys think was our biggest loss of all time.

I must say that Derrick Mason is our biggest loss of all time. I think we've finally found a #1 in Britt, but wow that took a long time to do. Until Britt, none of our receivers were lived up to D-Mase's performance. He has probably been the most underrated receiver in the NFL for quite some time. He's so consistent and puts up 1,000 yard seasons almost year after year.

We also should have never let go of Lorenzo Neal... he was one of the best FBs in the league for so many years. Look what happened to LT when he left San Diego... stats started dropping, and now it's looking like we've seen the best of LT.

I also think Samari was a big loss at the time. I've noticed that a lot of our star players end up leaving here and busting in other places... not saying Samari was necessarily a bust with the Ravens, but he never panned out to being as good of a player as he was with us.

Runyan was a pretty big loss as well.

Other than those guys, I'm sort of drawing a blank. I'm sure there are plenty of other players we have lost that hurt us, but I can't think of any.

I don't consider Eddie or Steve to be big losses for us as both of them were out of their prime. Steve, however, had one more solid season after he left us with the Ravens. Other than that, he was practically done.

The biggest drop off we suffered after losing a player was after Fat Albert left.

Can't say I miss the douche though but I would take him back.

The year of that horrible salary cap purge, I remember the day we lost Mason and Rolle. It felt like we had lost like half the team. An exaggeration, I know, but it was such a devastating loss, it just killed me. They were the worst for me.

The McNair departure wasn't a big surprise, plus we had VY waiting in the wings, so it was easier to swallow, and Eddie jumping ship left me bitter at the time; they're my two all-time favourite Titans, but it wasn't as hard.

I hated seeing any of the key Titans from when I had first become a Titans fan leave; Kearse, Hopkins, Olsen, Andre Dyson, Drew Bennett... Yeah, I liked all those guys.

Blaine Bishop. We havent had a in your face safety like him since. Him and Cortland would be something. Also miss wycheck. Hopefully Cook can become everything i hope he can be.

I miss quite a few Titans. Id have to say I know we let steve go because we had to with salary and everything and we let him go preety much when he was coming off of his prime years but obviously we would have had a smoother transition at qb if he had stayed the next few years while young sat and watched him. Bishop was a great safety, miss him a lot as well, and im glad of the safetys that we do have in griffin and hope, and i sure do hope we can pick up our defense from last year!! Frank Wycheck will always be missed, he was always a safety net and I felt very reliable over all the years! Crumpler..... I still get nightmares of him turning up field and loosing the ball. Derrick mason, a great WR. I still wish we never let him go. He is still producing up to today and I do think Britt can handle the #1 Spot, Mason had reliable hands and would be consistent when he ran his play. Eddie , of course as he ran the ball right through defense although I love CJ and his speed! We had good years with all of these great players and I sure hope we have great years with these young guys too....... we will see!
