    [IMG]OK, draft obsessives.

I couldn’t resist dangling this out there for you, mostly because I think it pans out wonderfully for Jacksonville.

Here are the AFC South highlights from Todd McShay’s first 2011 mock draft. He bases the order on power rankings from Scouts Inc.

    9th – Jacksonville

    Jake Locker, QB, Washington

“Locker falling to No. 9 overall is a direct result of team needs and it won't be surprising if he becomes the top overall pick. The Jaguars should be in the market for David Garrard's replacement during next year's draft and they couldn't pass on a talent like Locker if he somehow is available when they select.”

    16th – Tennessee

    Prince Amukamara, CB, Nebraska

“The Titans upgraded their pass rush with the selection of DE Derrick Morgan at No. 16 this year, so next year will be time to find a potential top cover corner. Amukamara is an early candidate thanks to a strong combination of instincts, size and ball skills.”

    17th – Houston

    Marvin Austin, DT, North Carolina

“Austin can be an active interior force but he needs to keep his motor revving at full throttle in 2010 in order to maximize his draft stock.”

    31st – Indianapolis

    Mike Pouncey, OG/C, Florida

“The Colts elected not to draft an offensive lineman until Round 4 this year so don't be surprised if they take a more aggressive approach in 2011. Mike Pouncey, twin brother of Steelers' first-round selection Maurkice, could emerge as an early-round pick if he makes a successful move inside to center this fall.”

That’s all I could get declassified. You’ve got to be an Insider to see the whole thing [IMG].

Unless Locker has a bad season, I don't see him falling to 9...more like top 5 if not THE top pick. If he has a bad season, he'll free fall me thinks...

Possible, but Amukamara could be the best CB next year or fall to the mid rnds. CB is really hard to figure til you see a 4o time. Look at Syd'quan Thompson who many had as a 1st/2nd rnd pick til he ran a 4.70 40. Got taken in the 7th.

Could be this year Gerald McCoy or Carlos Dunlap. We'll see!

We'll see how Pouncey does without Tebow and his brother next to him.

Keep an eye on the BC LB coming back from battling cancer. He was a total stud before being diagnosed.

There are three people i really think can help us that will be in our range, which i hope to be 20-32.

    1. Adrian Clayborn DE (Iowa): 6-3 283 quick of the ball and seems unblockable. Should have come out this year but stayed. Think Hayes with a quicker step and MUCH stronger.

    2. Marvin Austin DT (Texas): Think JPP's potential at DT

    3. Patrick Robinson CB (LSU): I dont think he will be here but i have heard great things and if we cant cover next year then we have to go CB first round and they say he has potential to be the next Revis. (i can dream lol)

    Well...

His last name is Peterson, not Robinson. Patrick Robinson was drafted in this draft and played at FSU. Patrick Peterson plays for LSU.

If a couple of juniors come out for the 2011 draft, you're probably looking at Dowling, Brown, Williams, Peterson and Burney going into this season. But as we see every year with CB's, your 40 can make or break you. And while a lot of these guys are listed at 6-1, a lot won't be that tall. The ones who have excellent seasons, continue to rise as prospects, and are legit in height/weight/speed will go early. I happen to like Peterson alot!!!

This is pretty dumb. He's already trying to make predictions for next year's draft??? There's no point in this.

Guarantee none of those are correct.

He can probably get pretty close in the top 5, but after that... no chance.

Houston won't finish with a better record than the Titans.

As for the picks, who cares at this point?

I doubt we'll be getting a corner in 2011. At least not Prince Amukamara anyways. Hard to draft the best CB with the 32nd pick.
