Even the Browns would have fired him by now. Only in Tennessee does a head coach get away with nearly twenty years of humdrum coaching. This is the NFL where if you're 16 years deep, and have no rings, you're lucky to have a job. Only in the preseason does he surprise us with punk fakes. Punk fakes people, we're talking about punk fakes.... :hmm::rolleyes::p>:(

Had you asked me this 8 years ago I would have said no. Still no. You don't give a coach multiple decades to win a damn Super Bowl. Especially if he's not competing in the playoffs year in and year out.

this question isnt fair. If he repeated the same tendencies then no. no one would want him. everyone wants to win the big game as often and as many times as possible. but a better question is, do you think fish could win a SB if Bud would shell out the cash and actually make strong free agent moves? (this includes keeping our best players instead of letting them go) id like to see a vote on that.

And by the way can anyone tell me exactly what happened to jason jones. i kinda missed that whole thing. I know it was his shoulder but what exactly happened. And does anyone know how his recovery is going? Thanks

I don't think its so much a matter of Bud Adams saving money during free agency as it's Fisher's inability to maximize talent. He's never utilized the talent on the team all that well. If you gave Fisher all the stars in the sky, he still would show you a 13-3 team with an immediate playoff exit. Dude is great Monday-Friday, but come time to shine and he dials Vince.

And besides; Bud is 87 years old I think. Does he have the 3-4 years it would take most other coaches to pull together a playoff run?

I'll take a 13-3 team every time.. And there's simply no way to predict the immediate exit. CJ doesn't get illegally assualted in that game Titans win it all, bet it.

I think Fisher has kept his job in recent years because Bud has so little time left.

He knows a HC change would almost guarantee a couple of years remoulding the team to fit the new coach.

If you know for sure he won't win a Super Bowl, you can't keep him around. It's that simple.
