Not really sure where to post this...

A buddy of mine is a Raiders fan and wants to make the trip to Nashville for opening game, and he asked me "what kind of fans do you guys have down there"? Since I have never been to a home game (but will be this year) how is the atmosphere down there for visiting fans? He has been to Philly and NY and had beer thrown at him just for walking around with a Raiders jersey on. He has also been to SF and Baltimore and had no problems.

If he's been to NY and PHI then I think he will find Nashville to be a breeze. I've never really seen opposing fans mistreated, unless they were being jackasses and deserved it.

Tell him that we will win, so he shouldn't have a problem at all ;)

Seriously, i don't think he would have any problems out in Nashville. As long as he is not acting stupid, then he shouldn't have a problem in Nashville at all.

I will be flying to Dallas and I'll be wearing my Titans jersey to the Cowboys game this year and i'll do just fine as long as i don't act a fool.

I went to a Titans game @ Chicago (live 2 hours away) in '08. That was fun. Bears fans are jack-offs, I probably would of gotten in multiple fights if my family/gf wasn't with me. We won the game though :).

I went to a Titans @ St.Louis in '05 and the fans were very nice. They didn't yell at me for having a McNair jersey on once. Couple guys made jokes about the Super Bowl, which is understandable.

I've also went to a Titans @ Indy game, in '02. But I was 11, not many people yell at 11 year olds with their 8 year old sister with them.

Never been to Nashville for a game though :( ...

it all depends on how hot it is and how many beers some of those local jerks have drank.

i had season tickets last year and i saw a couple of fans from other places and unless they were just talking a bunch of stuff to people around me or yellin about how bad our team sucked or anything stupid like that they were fine. At the jags game when we were 0-6 this guy was making jokes about how we would be the only team to have an losing record and have a 3000 yard rusher and we joked around for a while so it all ended up ok. Just tell him to be cool and he will have a great time. LP field is the best

Well I have never been to a Nashville (I live in Western New York) but that is on my bucket list before I die, to come down and see my Titans play in there home field amongst fellow Titan fans all cheering together. I just think that would be so fun.

I did see the Titans in Buffalo for their Christmas Eve game in 2007-Vince's rookie year. It was soooooo cold, I was shaking the entire time. The wind was insane. The bills fans were pretty nice, and offered me some gum.

But my brother went to a redskins vs. bills game in buffalo and got beer spilled on him.

My Aunt went to a bills game as a bills fan and purposely popped the beach ball that they were hitting around (cause it was in her view) and she got booed by the entire section lol.

So as far as the original forum post...It mostly depends on who you go with, how obnoxious/loud you are, and the opponents fans around you. You dont know what your going to get, but thats what makes going to live football games so fun.

I only mistreat Colts fans. Because most of them are "Titans fans every week but when they play Peyton Manning" - that's what they say. They don't support any other UT alumni like that, so I let them hear it.

Usually just telling them to enjoy their ride back... to Knoxville.
