  1. You don't seem to get how trades work. It wasn't a question of leverage. It was simply that no one would give up anything for him. The Redskins had no leverage for Jason Campbell after trading for McNabb, yet they managed to trade him for a draft pick. We managed to get something meager for LenDale. The Raiders managed to trade backup Kirk Morrison after adding McClain.

And, I'm sure they are cutting him because they don't want to pay his salary. That just goes back to the point that he's not what he used to be. The fact that no one would trade for him means no one thinks he worth that much any more.

There's no reason to believe that Henderson can rush the passer efficiently anymore. He's had just 2 sacks each of the last 3 seasons. He's 31 years old. The guy just isn't as athletic as he was in his prime.

That's not to say he's worthless. I'm sure some team that wants a big space eater will sign him. It just won't be the Titans, IMO. If not for the fact that he's a Nashville native, I'd say there was zero chance.

He might be a good option for short yardage or goal line run situations. But no way he's going to play for vet minimum money and be happy just being a situational player in Washburn's rotation.

I think he'd be perfect for our defense. We'd have a good rotation of linemen.

I'm not saying have Henderson even start, but have him play 20-25 snaps, keep him fresh and bring him in for short yardage situations.

I like our D in short situations most of the time, but I'd like it even more having a big man like Henderson clogging it up on the goal line, since we can't get Al back.

I don't know if he fits what we're trying to do. He is a football player and not a NERD. Also I heard he brought skittles to a position meeting in Jacksonville; clearly this will be viewed as a character concern with the Titans FO and we will pass.

i'd rather have a smart player with good talent, than an idiot with incredible talent. the smart player can develop and reach their potential much faster and will find ways to get an edge over the raw ability of a superior athlete

Me too actually. I'm just joking and thought the skittles comment would be funny. Although intelligence is more than a wonderlic when it comes to football. A person can be completely ignorant but a genius on the field. IE: CJ
