His hips do look a bit stiff at times, but I don't see any way that he doesn't make the roster (unless he takes his punching habit to training camp or something crazy like that). He could easily become #2 on the depth chart.

I already can't wait for preseason because I'm dying to see all of these young RBs in game action.

We dumped LenDale to make room for Blount, and Staford Johnson? Wow, neither of these two are worthwhile. Blount can make friends when we battle the Jaguars on the field as we do each year, but this is a down grade to the RB depth chart. These two guys were picked by Fisher simply for their stories.

Blount is a solid player, literally. He's built like a tree which helps on the 1-yard line. I don't see him doing THAT much good between the 20's. No one will take carries away from C.J. especially these two special teams players.

Since we didn't address the RB position in the draft, I'd say the team is confident in Ringer. That's my guess for the No. 2 role at RB. I like the addition of Blount & Johnson, but realistically I have low to no expectations for theses two.

I've been all smiles today after seeing this pickup. In a draft where everyone was thinking defense, I think we instantly improved our offense with Blount and Damien Williams. I think both can be instant contributors.

Who said Blount doesn't have any wiggle??!!!! He played in a spread offense and still got his yards. It isn't always about making players completely miss, some backs are great at having just enough "wiggle" to get the defender off balance and then the power to burst through the tackle. And I don't know if everybody has checked him out but the guy has breakaway speed.

He's not only a power back to compliment CJ on the goalline, he's a complete back who can give CJ a breather if needed in any point of the game, and good enough to takeover duties if CJ were to go down.

I like SJ, and think he's an outstanding guy, but I also like to win games and know that the NFL is a business. Is Blount hot headed? Yes. But how many of you football players on this board haven't gotten into a fight in practice or a game? I remember during spring practice in college we'd have atleast a fight a day during spring practices. I remember starting an all out war once for driving a mouthy DE out of bounds and slamming him into the defensive sideline. It took half the offense to pull me out of the crowd ha ha

I think when Blount hit the guy from Boise St. it was a split second decision/reaction. He'll probably regret it for the rest of his life and let's not hold it against him forever. We've all done something stupid in the heat of the moment that we regret.

I've been saying for a few months now that I hope the Titans can pick him or Anthony Dixon up in later rounds. Turns out we didn't even have to use a pick on him! We definitely need someone to share carries with CJ because I don't want him to take as many hits as he did last year.

Scout.com has Blount rated as the 8th best RB in the draft, with 4 out of 5 stars, pretty good for an undrafted free agent

^^ As far as offense goes. I'd say Blount is our best fit. We're not looking for someone to replace CJ or who has a similar running style, we're looking for someone to compliment his style.

This kid better have grown up. I don't see him lasting long if he acts as he did as a Junior.

I'm surprised we're taking him. His style feels like a match here, but I thought his rap sheet would have locked him out.

We'll see. At least we don't really have anything to lose if it doesn't work out. But it would be nice to have a big back to compliment our run game.

It would be sweet if he knocked Manning on his butt.
