6'7" 335? This dude is massive. It'd be nice to have him here if he stills has that strong desire to play hard. It sounds like he's had a dropoff the past couple of years so I don't know how much he has left at this point.

Ingram wouldn't be a bad pickup. It would be sweet to have these guys come here and help us beat up on the division. I just don't see us making a move on Henderson though. I'd rather us get AH back. We're already crowded at DT so if we're gonna add another one I want it to be AH.

i think everyone on this post missed the real point..........who care about Henderson..........Ingram is a perfect fit.

  4. It's really very simple. I don't think he's much of a penetrating 1-gap DT at this point. In his prime I think we could have used him, but he's more of a run stuffer than anything else at this point. And the Titans have never had any interest in big, run stuffing DTs who couldn't rush the passer (Haynesworth was huge but had the quickness to be a penetrator).

Look, ever time some over the hill ex-star gets cut, fans jump at the chance to sign him. Well guess what, the Jags couldn't even trade the guy! I'm sure he'll stay in the league this year, but he isn't what he used to be. And he isn't in the mold of what the Titans normally target at DT. People made the same argument when the Ravens cut Sam Adams, as if he would remotely fit the Titans D.

Could he play for the Titans? Sure. They could use him on running downs as a space eater. That simply isn't something Jeff Fisher has ever wanted on his defense.

He'd be great in Minn behind Pat Williams..............but SK is right he cant shoot the gaps with his bad back and high pad level...........but I think he can play a zero in a 3-4..........SD could use him too.

They couldn't trade him because they killed their leverage by A.) drafting two DT's with their first two picks, and B.) by playing him at NT most of last season. They're cutting him because they don't want to pay his salary. Everyone knew he was going to get cut.

He can do more than just stuff the run playing next to Tony Brown. Henderson dominated for years playing next to Stroud, and has been surrounded by garbage since Stroud left. He's older and not as explosive as he was early in his career, but he can still command blocks. At worst, he is excellent depth behind Jason Jones. He's probably a better option than Jason Jones right now. Regardless, is Javon Haye a better option than Henderson? I think not.
