yes, i was hoping we'd sign him we need a power back to take the short yard and other carries that are hard on the body from CJ, i don't want us to run him into the ground like we did with Earl Campbell and Eddie

who cares............he is not an NFL player. He has no NFL skills. I hope he learned something in college otherwise he gets Kurt Warners old job in Walmart.

if you don't think running the ball in the spread and running the ball in a traditional nfl offense is different then you're stupid.

Far from stupid. I'm willing to bet i know way more about football than you.

I was saying that Blount's style of play has nothing at all to do with the spread offense. Blount is a RB that will get his yards regardless of what system he is in.

You were basically saying Blount is who he is because of the spread offense he was in. And i'm saying that he will be the same RB regardless of what offense he is in.

Some people flourish in spread offenses, but he wasn't a product of the spread offense because of his style.

Blount has no chance..........He is so limited in skills the NFL cant wait for him...........PS or Walmart. Stafon I think has a shot because of two reasons..........Early in his career at USC he was a monster on ST........especially PR and KOR and its because he has crazy lateral movement..........go back and look at his tape from some of the games.........He has little tape since 2008..........so people for got that. JF did not..........because he is an USC guy and he likes guys who are good on PR who have lateral agility because it is the most important feature..................and here is the other rub..........at the combine JF asked him why he came there when every doc todl teams he could not give hisbest because of his latest surgery to widen his trachea to try football again.............and he told JF he came to compete........and because football was important to him because he knows what its like to have it taken from him...........This kid has the IT factor your looking for............and personally I think he has a great chance to take LW job and actually do more than Ringer...........because everyone is sleeping on his ST ability and Ringer has none unless they let him KOR............which I doubt. It gives the gameday roster flexibility........at 47

the type of back that is a product of a spread is generally a scat-back like Best, Blount just runs over and through people, while i would rather have Toby Gerhart because he does the same things without the off field issues and faced 8 or 9 man fronts every game, but still should have had the Heisman Trophy, nothing against Mark Ingram, but he had less yard, less touchdowns and more around him which is enough to give Gerhart the Heisman IMO

He had already signed with the niners, and they're deep at RB. They didn't have to sign him at all.
