Last year we would have taken Nicks but had to settle for Britt.

    LOL

Hopefully this year will work out the same and we get the better player just like last year

I can not believe people are actually complaining about this pick! We got a top ten talent at the 16th pick! We did not reach like the Jags, Raiders, or Chargers! We had a need and we filled with the best all around DE in the draft. Yes, he may not have the freakish athletic ability like JPP, but he has played against top level competition in the ACC for several years. JPP did not even start every game for his team this season.

People are complaining about not trading back and grabbing a second round pick. People are assuming we had a partner to trade back with and that we would have gotten a second round pick. The Dolphins traded way back with the Eagles and did not pick up a second rounder in the deal.

And Nicks over Britt what a joke! Britt is by far the better player!

Lastly everyone who is pissed that we didnt trade for Haynesworth needs to wake up and realize the Skins asking price was outrageous. Many media outlets are reporting that they wanted at least a 1st and a 3rd for him. If we would have given that up for him half the people on this site would probably have jumped off of a bridge.

If you watch the film on Derrick Morgan then you'll see that when he played, he was so quick off the ball that many of the teams HAD to double team and sometimes triple team him. He is strong enough to break through many tackles blocks and most tight ends.
He is a fierce competitor once that ball is snapped. I think he will be someone to hold up the line like Albert Haynesworth (not as much as Big Al did but better than what we had last year) while also making plays on Peyton and Matt.
Plus for the critics that "he's peaked at his college level" you can never say that when you have Washburn as your d-line coach.
    Many great things to come.

Number 1 who is going to be passing all these balls to our unstoppable passing attack with bryant? We are a run first team, who drafted a WR in the 1st last year and have a QB lucky to make it to the second or third read any ANY pass play. But ya lets load up.

Number 2 if you really think Haynesworth is some savior that we need to trade for this year I'm going to assume you never watched him here until the end of his contract.

I know it's not sexy, and I curse the Eagles for jumping up and taking Graham, but perhaps the Giants would have taken him, as well. I lean on the side of "top ten pick at sixteen" and that's pretty good value. Besides, being able to rotate Morgan, Hayes and Ford is pretty good considering the loss of KVB and Kearse.

I for one won't put the trade for Haynesworth as dead. I still think the Titans could use Tony Brown sometime today in a trade, and they could also use something like the following year's third or second as a conditional pick depending on AH's performance. I never thought a trade for him would have involved our first round pick anyway. Not a chance.

I'm also hoping that the Titans will use LenDale and our third to trade up and get Seattle's second round pick. I wouldn't mind adding someone like Sergio Kindle in that spot, or even Taylor Mays, Golden Tate, Linval Joseph, Brian Price or Daryl Washington.
