Simms anyone?

I have always said that Chris Simms was a remarkable talent from the shoulders down but didn't have it from the neck up. I still believe that. Simms is smart, but he can't seem to make good football decisions. I'm not saying he makes a lot of turnovers or anything like that, I think the game is just too fast for him.

It's like trying to teach someone how to play guitar hero on expert level when they can't seem to master the regular level.

He just doesn't seem to know how to slow the game down in his head to let all that wonderful talent he has shine.

ima try to keep this short and sweet.

i dont want KC as our backup QB. Vince plays at a very high speed and has been hit hard, dont get me wrong he is strong, but the way he plays i can see him gettin injured or nicked up from time to time.

really i dont wanna see kerry get on the field. some can argue he had a great year with us, but id be willing to bet if he plays for us we'll be gettin a kerry closer to the one that really stunk things up.

call me crazy but i was thinking lendale for billy V and a 4th/5thdraft pick (until they traded charlie to the 'hawks). an extra 4th could net you a very good LB (refer to Tully) and i think billy would be a MUCH better backup anyway (come to think of it had he never left, he woulda started)

now i dont see that happneing and, yes, id rather have simms over KC. however, i see our managment sticking to KC, drafting a younger guy maybe late, and bringing in another geizer to help 'teach' the younger ones when kerry leaves - its ironic the one time going the cheaper way is better the titans wont do...i love it

 

Luckily, for the 2 guys holding down the fort, historical statistics are no prerequisite to be the starting QB on the Tennessee Titans

I hope we sign either one of these two, I think both are capable back ups
