something cool to talk about while the offseason is here and theres nothin really to post about.

maybe just go thru some weekly question or something... get put onto new stuff... learn some new shii

right now, what im interested in, is the hip hop of the new age... thats 2010 hip hop. the new stuff... either, already out, or about to drop.

heres what im puttin out there... new LB (and the last). kinda like the black album, except i dont think this is a gimmick to sell more records. i think LB is done.

Little Brother was a trio out of NC, came up on the hype that their producer was getting... 9th wonder. he went on to bigger things and left which left the group down to the two rappers big pooh and phonte. Phonte is a top5 rapper in the game right now imo

id say their best shii is the chitlin circuit 1.5 mixtape, and their first record i think, the menstrual show.

heres the leak from the new and final record that these dudes will do

I'm a huge LB fan. The Listening was their first album, not Minstrel Show. Although, I do agree that Minstrel show is my favorite album. I've always loved the mixtapes too, they are set up like any other rappers albums. LB constructs LP's better than any other group I've seen.

At the moment I'm awaiting The Roots and Lupe's new albums to come out. I'm bangin' Here To Save You All by Chino XL right now, and if you're not familiar:

PS: I agree with you on Phonte, I still remember the first time I heard his verse on "Whatever You Say". He was going bar after bar so smooth and all of a sudden he ends his verse with "...F that I got your head still boppin' and my verse didn't rhyme" and I was like WHAT?!?! I had to rewind that and make sure that dude spat a non rhyming verse and I didn't notice. lol

chino XL is hit n miss for me... but that Lyrical Jesus track of his is ridiculous.

also, picked up the roots latest CD and wasnt too impressed... the only really solid track was Rising Down with Styles P and Mos def on it, that track was ridiculous. cant say ill be eagerly awaiting w/e next theyve got planned. and im always down for Lupe, although i dont ride for him like hes a super lyrical genius that a lot of people like to think of him as...

So you do know what decent hip hop is, you just use Lil Wayne to make people think you don't? That's cool!

You didn't like Rising Down, really? Criminal was a ridic track. That's my 3rd favorite Roots album behind Game Theory and Illadelph Halflife.

What do y'all think of the Slaughterhouse album? Before that the only time I had heard of Crooked I was on a Chino XL (speak of the devil) joint. Now I'm checking every day on info about Million Dollar Story.
