MLB floating realignment?

Bud Selig wants teams to switch divisions every year? That's so stupid. Interleague play is a cool idea, but part of what makes baseball so great is that teams play their division rivals what 18, 19 times a year? You get to know the other teams, develop dislikes for other players, things like that. Part of the cool factor of the MLB playoffs is that in some matchups, teams have only played each other a few times during the season if at all.

Teams sign certain players specifically to match up well with division rival teams or so that they can stop being killed by the same player year in and year out. If Selig actually thinks this is a good idea, he needs to wake up.

 

I hate the St. Louis Cardinals for a reason. Astros Fan. Let's keep it that way. I think it's outside the box, which is different, but maybe does more damage than it does good. I don't feel as though it alters my interest at all. I probably wouldn't even think about it too much.

 

I think it is a dumb idea. It does not any make any sense to me. If they want baseball to be more even put in a cap.

 

The only way to make baseball better is to stop airing it on television, that or let everyone take 'roids.

Seriously though, dumb idea by Selig.

 

add 2 regular season games and drop two preseason games. That would dilute the 4 intraconference games. Or take you idea and AFC could play every team out of division once and two games inside division - 18 rocking AFC games, rematches in the POs where they belong

 

I got a better idea. Cancel baseball all together. I think Cheerleading is more of a sport than baseball.

 

Cancel baseball and use the stadiums as venues for massive alcohol consumption
