I already knew this before post-season started.

Titan off-season is pure fail as always.

 

Based on what he got from the Ravens we should have went after him and then looked to trade Gage for a draft pick. $7M a year was not outrageous at all for a guy of that caliber.

 

Derek Mason is an unrestricted free agent. He will not likely return to the Ravens. The Ravens basically gave up draft picks to replace Mason with a younger guy. Not better just younger.

Not really. 3rd round picks are still pretty important. Boldin is oft injured and at 29 should start declining fairly soon. And he will be paid a ridiculous amount of money as well.


Not a bad deal by the Ravens, but certainly giving up 2 mid round picks for someone who may not even be with your team in 2011 seems like a lot to give up.

 

There are some very good FA players out there, and I just hate that everyone is going shopping and we are always waiting for the clearance rack. By that time, things are either broken, or old. We need to look at THIS YEAR and work towards what we have this season, not for 2 to 3 years down the line. We are not in a rebuilding stage, we have a foundation, just need to step it up a notch. Man, this is frustrating...... Bring Brandon Marshall in and a couple others on Defense, this could easily be our year.

 

I wouldn't say he's oft injured. Yea he's been injured but I really don't count 2 years ago when he hurt his face, that was a fluke and could have happened to anyone.

And yea they gave up 2 but got one back so basically 1 mid round draft pick for a 3 time pro bowl receiver. Not sure what your definition of a steal is but to me, that's a steal.
