Yahoo Sports' Jason Cole confirms that the Lions are expected to sign free agent Kyle Vanden Bosch by Friday.

Coach Jim Schwartz didn't wait outside Vanden Bosch's house for nothing early Friday morning. It's unclear how much the Lions are willing to pay the 31-year-old, but his addition could seal Dewayne White's fate in Detroit.

    Good Luck KVB!

They will probably overpay for a past his prime pass rusher! Thanks for the years of service but I would rather not overpay for him.

This will help Detroit get competitive; trying to replicate the Titans 2008 pass rush. If they can get themselves a "Haynesworth-like" guy this may pan out well for them. KVB benefited big time by having a big man next to him.

I wish KVB all the best, he gave us 100% for 5 years.

It's probably a good move by Schwartz. If he doesn't demand big bucks, the Lions get a high character guy who is a leader on and off the field. Although not a superstar DE, they can build the locker room around his leadership......similar to what the Titans did with Mawae a few years ago.

It's a done deal - 4 years. KVB was just on the Wake Up Zone talking about the deal. Classy guy and he will be missed for his leadership and character.

Good for him. I'll miss watching him slap the ball away from rookies during training camp.

This probably mean the Titans didn't want to make a counter.

Pretty sure it's 4 years 26 million but I could be wrong. They overpaid imo.
