Peyton easily wins record fourth MVP (AP)

Wow. I thought CJ's tweet re; "Where's Peyton's address" was a joke; most of the posters seem to seriously think he was whining. Btw, what does CJ's ability to spell on twitter have to do with him deserving serious consideration?

I didn't realize it wasn't possible for the best player in the NFL to not be on a playoff team...

Baseball has its' own bias' but at least GREAT players not on winning teams will get some votes.

Manning, Brees, and Favre's success has a lot to do with their team mates. Unfortunately, the Titans D was not up to the task of not getting blown out or giving up a ton of points against several of our opponents.

So CJ has a BETTER season than a QB who WINS the award and CJ doesn't get a single vote? I'm sorry, but that's a disgrace. It's not called the MVP for playoff teams. It's the MVP...period.

Give CJ some props for a great season. Give him a little respect and give him a touch of honor for a great season!!!

at least he came from UT so we gotta have some happiness for him.

I think he's one of the best but not THE best. He's been the most dominant QB of his time but still choked quite a bit in the playoffs and only won 1 SB (so far). There are other Hall of Fame QB's who were just as good (if not better) with more rings and no history of choking in the playoffs. My opinion of course.

And I'm not a Titans fan because of where I grew up (because I grew up in New York) so it's not like he's from MY home town or something. So I'm not a fan of Peyton per se. And although I'm from New York, I'm not an Eli fan either.

The colts fans are a bunch of arrogant a-holes. I get so sick of hearing themn talk about how great they are. Every time something goes wrong, however, they are armed and ready with an excuse. Their time is coming, maybe soon, maybe later, but they will suck again!

 

i still think he is the best, and before he is done his stats are gonna be crazy. 4 MVP's, a SB... makes the playoffs almost every season. crap load of passing yards. he has perfected the QB position. and he is very smart, calling his own plays... even uses no huddle so the defense cannot substitute players...etc... when Peyton retires, the Colts will never see an era like they are now ever again.

This right here is the kind of thinking that got Peyton the a award, and is also why this award is such a joke.

People are just looking for excuses for Peyton to win the MVP. OF COURSE the offense looked horrible when Peyton wasn't in there, but it wasn't like they pulled peyton out and put in the avg NFL starting QB. They put PAINTER in!!!! He is a 3rd string QB, and had his first game EVER against the #1 defense. I dont care what team you are on, you put in your 3rd string qb, you will SUCK!!!

Also, its not like the Manning was the only starter that was resting, and the ones that were still playing werent playing as hard as they would have been had it been a game of any significance.

Saying that manning deserved it because when he came out the colts offense is terrible is the WEAKEST EXCUSE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:grrr:

 

Nothing too surprising. The whole "MVP" concept is a best record contest. Most VALUABLE had to be CJ. His production meant more than anyone else in most of our wins. He kept us close in several losses.

It's a shame he didn't even get a vote. Almost laughable. The voters need to publicize this unspoken criteria that a legit MVP candidate needs to finish with a top 3 seed.

 

what a bunch of haters. you have to put manning as the mvp. nobody else was a legitimate pick. rivers was the only one close


cj had a great, record setting year. but it didnt mean anything to the titans. they still sucked balls and got spanked by the colts twice this year.


i understand you guys love cj but lets try and think clearly.
