Same reason the D-line is good is the same reason we get burned at times. Those lineman are so aggressive, are are always firing on 8 cylinders. It makes you vulnerable to the screens, play action, pump fakes, trap runs, offside penalties, and the short to intermediate throws that will go for 10-15 yards when Nick is off the ball. The easiest way I think you fix those issues that made it appear as thou our D-line was average, is to add speed to the edges. Kearse is too slow now, KVB was never fast. Ford and Haye are coming along nicely as most DE do in their 2nd 3rd years. It's so easy for us to improve its funny. We DO NOT have to do ANYTHING this off season to the D-line to improve in that area. IN FACT we could to do more by doing less. We are always deactivating 2 good lineman, and one way to alleviate that problem is to just not resign Kearse and KVB. That gives us money to spend on positions of need, and lately those two aren't cutting it Titans style to remain in place. And obviously eliminating the liability that is Nick Harper will also help our D-line collect sacks.

    Vincent Jackson over Andre Johnson?

    Ludicrous.

Maybe he can train with CJ, so those 24 pressures turn into 24 sacks.

I read an article awhile back about how pressures aren't an official stat so they aren't consistently recorded. The article specifically mentioned how whoever tracked pressures at LP field was recording them more quickly than at any other stadium. Looks like Tony Brown benefited from this.

I'm looking forward to the DL next year.

Jacob Ford - Jason Jones - Tony Brown - William Hayes
only if the Titans re-sign the right ppl of course

well when qbs can dump it to harpers side on any given play, QB pressure isnt really gonna do much and off course sacks will be limited.

Also, i like vickerson he needs to be here. he is really our only space eater and demands a double team based on sheer size. Marks they like him but recently an article came out saying he they want him to get 'stronger.'

We drafted Big Al in the 1st and, glen dorsey was supposed to change the DT position, Sedrick ellis was just as big coming out of uni both of them are taking their time (but i imagine them one day to be close to big al's level of play). sure there are exceptions the texans' okaye is really good but generally this position takes it time to develop. offensive linemen technique in the nfl is far superior to that of college.

I like Marks and hope he pans out (which realistically should under the best D-line coach in the game)

Okoye has been unimpressive since his rookie year but is still very young.
