So you are implying that Moss wasn't a good wideout until he got to New England? Or that Welker didn't have 60+ catches in a year before going there also?

I already said Peyton was the exception to the rule, it doesn't matter who his wideouts are. If you want to add Brett Farve to that, I'd be fine with that also. (I would say though, look at Farve LAST Year at New York and this year with Peterson and his wideouts) Regardless, you're talking about 2 of the 5 greatest QB's EVER. If that's what you want Vince, or frankly any other QB we get, to be, then you need to adjust your expectations.

TO in Buffalo had ABYSMAL QB play and still got 800 yards.

Yes being a good QB is important, you can't be a bad QB and put your team in position to win.

But you don't have to be an exceptional QB as long as you have weapons on offense.

Vince can be every bit as good if not better than Big Ben. And that's frankly better than he has to be to in order to win a superbowl.

    SuperBowl Winning QB's from 2000s

    Big Ben (x2)
    Eli Manning
    Peyton Manning
    Tom Brady (x3)
    Trent Dilfer
    Brad Johnson
Kurt Warner (who has only succeeded in two places, St. Louis when he had Faulk, Holt and Bruce, and Arizona where he had Boldin and Fitzgerald)

You don't think Vince can be as good as Eli, Dilfer, Johnson or Roethlisberger? I do. If you don't, well than I understand why you feel the way you feel about him.

I would ask you why not though.

I posted this after the SD game but before the Hawks game (which was an abortion of a gameplan and completely intended to give Johnson the record rather than put the offense in a position to succeed. They threw on third down and medium so much. I don't have time to update it, I'm at lunch at we have coaches meetings all afternoon, but here was my post.

Vince THIS year (Projected for 16 games based on starts statistics--Year 4 but actual start #s listed)

    Starts 29-38 58%, 3056 yds, 18 TD's, 9 Ints

Big Ben LAST Year (Year Five)

    Starts 56-71 60%, 3301 yds, 17 TD's, 15 INt's

And they WON A SUPERBOWL with Big Ben last year.

DBC, First off, you have to understand the first years of VY's career were under a OC that didn't like VY, and was coaching his first years as an NFL OC. Where is he now? Givin that, VY had to put up with stupid playcalling, always going 3 and out. Why? because Chow wanted Leinart. You are going to tell me going for a short pass or a running play on 3 and 15, or 3 and 20 is going to get it done? Many times VY ran for the yards himself, and made things happen. Fisher also wasn't sold on VY, they wanted VY to become a pocket passer. He isn't that, and his style of play had to change. It is hard to do that. But, he still managed to play ok. You have to remember, things were tough for him, and Chow did say things about VY that clearly should not have been said. Bud Adams saw in VY what he saw in McNair. Those DBC and you VY haters are HARD SHOES TO FILL. But, you know what, Adams made the change, and I will say this because I have a right to say it. VY did what he got paid to do. And that is win games. He gave us hope to make the playoffs when many of us thought we were done. I will say, it was a good season for me. Why can I say this, because DBC I have been through many tough seasons following this franchise, I know the QB's we've had since WAYYYY back to 1977. VY is learning and has shown great improvement. Now that Fisher has seen what he is capable of with CJ, it is up to him to make the most of it.

One last thing for you DBC. If we had this years offense last year, we would easily have won it all. You are crazy to not see that much of CJ's success was because of VY. Even CJ said it himself. Imagine VY with receivers like a Fitzgerald, or a Moss and CJ, awesome. VY, will be fine and win games for us. I can see him maturing even more and wanting it all and getting us there. DBC if stats are important to you look at where he took his High school teams and college teams. Give him time.

    TITANS FOREVER!!!
