Damn dbc, you can't help yourself can you? Whats next; Vince Young will never be John Elway. And so you know; John Elway was in some ways similar to Vince. They both like to get out and run, but thats about where the comparison ends. That and they each are winners. But your really putting Kyle Orton next to VY? That doesn't work. You're better off bringing up Cutler.

No, my issue is not with criticism of VY; I may not agree with your assessments, but I don't have an issue with your right to express your opinion. Nor do I have a VY "man crush", as I am not a man. My issue is how you are expressing your opinion; that you are bringing up the same or similar arguments/topic in three separate threads. It just seems it would be better to make an overall "VY sucks" or whatever thread and post all of your opinions in that one. Just sayin....

Sigh... I don't have a man crush on him. I do my best to judge him objectively. I've criticized VY plenty over the last few years so it's not as if I'm some VY/Texas fanboy that thinks he's the greatest thing to ever happen to the NFL or anything like that. Believe it or not, there was a time when I thought VY was never going to amount to much of anything in the pros. But he's won me back completely with the way he's handled himself both on and off the field this season. Of course in your mind everyone who supports VY is a silly fanboy with a low football IQ so I probably wasted my time even typing that last bit.

And I'm not opposed to reading your points. I love debate... assuming the other person is actually interested in debating rather than preaching.

 

When some one start a thread with a lie (or hook) that has to warn you of the lameness of the thread. dbc you hate VY, I can live with that, but the obscure and meaningless stats that you use are not going to change people minds you know why?

Because we all got to watch the progress he made THIS YEAR. Stats from past years has no bearing on his performance since he returned to be the starting QB. One thing that you should take into consideration is that many on this forum who constantly bashed VY have changed their stand after seeing his development. What he did on '06, '07 and what happened to him in '08 should be viewed as part of the process of him becoming an elite QB.

You can keep going back and forth with stats and winning percentages but those who care about him and more importantly about the Titans are looking forward. Keep looking silly with these lame posts, but in the other hand they are entertaining.

The facts, which are eating you up, are:
1. Vince made exceptional progress and we hope he continue to develop.
2. The Titans area at worst 7 -3 or at best 8-2 since he became the starter.
3. This offense look exciting for the years to come with VY, CJ, Britt and if Nate stop dropping balls watch out.
4. If the defense get fixed we are a playoff contender in 2010.
