8/21 89 yards, 1 Fum, 2 INTs, 11 QB RATING!

The haters are so unfair its not even funny anymore. Vince Young came into a season with a 6 game hole. That's NOT fair, we coudln't have expected him to play 10 perfect games guys. The VY lovers wanted him to win out for us and the haters were waiting for him to fail. Even last night after those turnovers he had one amazing 63 yard drive, but lets be real... our D wasnt gonna let us win that game.

And for the VY lovers out there, yeah none of us proclaimed Vince to be Brady or Manning, but come on, Brady has played some VERY bad games this year and he is a VETERAN superbowl dynasty quarterback. Vince can be elite and still have BAD games just like Favre, Manning, and yes even Brees. They all have bad games. I think the haters expect Vince to be a God who will never have a bad game.

Bottom line is this... if Vince had started from day 1, we'd be talking playoffs right now. I dont know about you other titans fans, but im VERY excited about our potential next year!

 

He's not the only reason we lost this game.

Check every other qb's record against those teams. Please. VY is right in the middle of the pack. Even Tom Brady loses to the colts. If you are .500 against playoff teams then you done yourself proud. The key is to beat the teams you are supposed to beat and then battle it out in the playoffs. If Jeff Fisher stopped Giving VY holes to come out of ( 2 out of the last 3 seasons VY has played ), then we'd be in the playoffs every year with a chance to grow into a champion. As it is, we constantly have to catch up and hope for other teams to lose.

 

You have to understand, this guy had to wait a long time to post something like this. He thought that by the time the team had played this many games the record would be much worse. He along with the other “haters” were licking their chops at the thought of VY starting and were preparing all their arsenal to come and destroy him at moment notice when he played bad. Instead they encountered and more mature and improved VY, that threw him off their course of action.

The waiting made them restless and nervous because they didn't expected VY to play this way, so instead of accepting his improved play and enjoy the team winning they preferred to hide until a game like this happened. I can't imagine how hard it was for this guy and the other “haters” to watch the team go on a five games winning streak, the game against Arizona surely brought nightmares, and be on verge of making the playoff after the horrid 0-6 start.

For them one bad game out of nine is enough to confirm their expectations of VY. Let see since being named the starter the team is 7-2, he has a 84 passer rating and the offense has look much better since being inserted in the line up. This was more apparent against the Rams where everybody got to see how different is the offense with VY as the QB instead of KC.

This is the little Christmas gift they get since Santa flew by their house without leaving any. I know that the Team knows that in VY they have a legitimate starting QB that has shown a willingness to improve and learn and we all hope he continues in that direction in the off season and when next season start everybody will be excited. So GO TITANS!!!

So, you'll trade a QB that since being the starter the team is 7 - 2 and has helped the team come from 0- 6 hole to almost making the playoffs, with what purpose? please explain.

 

the creator of this thread and the posters supporting it are probably kidding around... you have to give them more credit than this... anyone who truly believes in trading VY after one game has absolutely no football knowledge whatsoever and do not understand the game at all....... players have bad games, it doesn't define them as a player by any means, plenty of QBs have had poor outings.. so take what some of these posters say cautiously because they may just be trying to stir the pot, and if they aren't, ignore them because they do not know much about the game of football

 

Vince had a bad game, it happens to everyone...just ask our defense, it happens to them all the time.

While VY isn't 100% where I'd like to see him just yet, I'm extremely happy in the way he has played this year. Its like night and day compared to earlier in his career. Have we forgotten that Mac wasn't a superstar for us overnight? It takes time, and Vince is headed in the right direction.

 

Sadder thing yet is most people forget that these forums are frequented by players friends, coaches (assistants that is) and other personnel closely tied with the team.

If making millions and having some respect for the logo on your helmet and what it represents isnt enough for you to play hard, you shouldnt be in the league, I dont know who, but its fairly obvious some guys, especially on the defensive side of the ball, are either not good enough, or arent trying hard enough. Whoever they are, they need to be exposed and cut, and made an example of, everyone loves to talk junk about Harper, but Id take Harper 100 times over some of the guys I saw playing out there, why? because they werent playing hard, its blatantly obvious this defenses heart beats in Keith Bullucks chest, to let him go this coming off season would be an unforgivable mistake. If nobody believes what Im saying, go look up the video from the game, and watch the final chargers drive, as a bunch of mediocre backups ran the ball down our defenses throat, while we knew they would run the whole time, out of that 80+ yard drive that ended with 3 kneel downs, not once did they attempt to throw it, that wasnt only heart breaking, it was embarrassing, probably more embarrassing than the score itself
