I think it's the other way around? We are safe if Den loses to Philly and wins against KC?

Yes, Miami's conf record at 9-7 would be 7-5

Denver's would be 6-6 if they beat Philly and lose to KC and we are done.

The other way around and it goes to strength of victory which Denver wins, then the Titans beat out Miami for the 6th seed.

I'm totally freaking lost now.....Let's just beat San Diego and hope we aren't eliminated before week 16 so I can root for/against someone.

We can do it if we play error free football and are aggressive...go Titans!

As far as I can tell...

We want NE to beat the Jags keeping them from getting to 9-7 and potentially eliminating us since the Jags will likely beat Cleveland wk 17.

We want Houston to beat Miami to keep them from getting to 9-7. We are not afraid of Houston...they can only help us by winning.

We need the Jets to lose either of their next 2 games (vs Indy or Cincy).

The key is..aside from the above...Miami beating Pitt in wk 17 (which would give Miami and Pitt a best record of 8-8). This way we want Pitt to beat the Ravens in wk 16 and Denver to lose to Philly. This way, if the Ravens lose to Oakland week 17 OR Denver loses to KC...we're in if we win out.

There is no scenario for us to get in at 8-8.

No matter how you look at it...SD is our Super Bowl or our big test for the season. We almost beat Pitt in game 1, split with the Jags and Texans, beat Miami but the Colts still beat us comfortably and NE pounded us. To be a contender in the AFC we have to be able to play Indy, Chargers, Pats and give them a run for their money. This is the last BIG game on the schedule and another chance to see how we match up if we can't get into the playoffs.

    Step 1...beat the Chargers!!!

don't count on Miami beating Denver in the Strenght of Victory tiebreaker...I crunched the numbers and its next to impossible for them to make up the deficit.

Just like last week, don't count on the Ravens to lose to help your team. You have to take care of your own business like everyone else. Ravens will NOT lose the final two games, and they have not lost to a .500 team or less this year. They most likely will win them both but certainly at least one. No playoffs this year for Fisher, maybe he can borrow Manning's jersey to feel like a winner again.

Thanks for your input, considering Baltimore took Pitt to OVERTIME with DIXON at QB. How do you think you'll do against Roethlishberger on the road?

    Come on man.

Whats the point in the Playoffs if you lose in them anyways memphis Raven? Getting there is only half the work, it doesnt mean your team is the best. you actually have to make the SB and win it. Come SB time all the Ravens players will be watching the SB from their couches just like the Titans players. i dont think youll meet .500 teams or less headed to the SB. so your SOL.
