What Needs To Happen (Playoff Scenario Week 16/17)

They haven't been saving LT, he's just been useless. He's done.

 

Take note that both the ravens and the steelers have the tie breaker over us. So it does not help us to have the ravens win another game. If a miracle occurred and we did get in the ravens will be the 5th seed. We need to hope that the ravens beat the steelers and eliminate them for us by giving them their 8th loss.

Then we have to hope that denver losses out and the jets and jags lose one more. That's our only hope.

I believe the top tie breaker for the wild card among 2 teams that have not played each other is conference record. All our 7 losses are in the conference.

 

NFL.com has houston under us @ 7-7, so I fiqure we want
HOU over MIA
NE over JAC
BAL over PIT
PHI over DEN
IND over NYJ... that moves us up 4 spots into the 7th spot, then we would need
KC over DEN to move us into the 6th spot and a rematch with the PATS, then a rematch with COLTS, and a final rematch with SD (whom we beat in the regular season) then on to the superbowl against an overachieving NFC team!!!!!!

you guys are overthinking everything....

Basically we need either Denver or Baltimore to lose out, and Pittsburgh to lose to the Dolphins in Miami.

Denver has Philly this week
Baltimore has Pittsburgh

I think they both could lose, but theres no way in hell Denver is beating Philly.

We won't be mathematically eliminated til around 7:15 sunday of week 17. Assuming we don't lose.

 

If we win the superbowl, we would have gone 13-1. I would hand the MVP throphy to Vince and put him in the Hall of Fame too.

I do believe that if we get into the playoffs this team will be noisy. We have the skil players to win it. I'm a little worried about the cold weather in New England because CJ needs to be fast for us. And if that ground is frozen that's a problem. But Indy will be indoors. And San Diego will be warm and we would have beaten them already. After all we have done, the Superbowl would be like getting to the end of an everlasting gobstopper, it's just a done deal.

This journey is just beginning, but all eyes are on the prize.

 

Does anyone have EVERY scenario possible? Like a concrete for sure If-THEN scenario for each of the next 2 weeks? I'm seeing a lot of possibilities thrown around. It's hard to wrap my brain around all of them without seeing them all laid out together. It's crazy we still have a shot.

 

Pittsburgh and Baltimore wins hurts us. Pittsburgh self-destructed and now they're trying again.

Plus we're still like 5 spots from the damn 2ND wild card spot. I had as much faith as anyone, but I thought for sure we'd jump to 2nd or 3rd and our conference record kills us. :gag:

What we need is simple. All the teams in front of us to lose two more games. Baltimore and Pittsburgh doesn't really matter. One can get in. But the others need to finish with more losses than us. And I'll be pissed if we win 9 games and go home in December.
