when he can make the routine throws without fail... hes usually good for a couple headscratchers a game. not saying he cant improve.

    Late edit added.. :)ha:)

Also need to remind you that this is only his third year. The starter of the thread didnt say his NFL journey as reached its apex. He is simply stating that he is improving and we have something to build on for the future.

Now some body get him on the tread mill so he can stop getting those annoying ham string injuries.:grrhee:

im not rooting for him to be a pocket passing master either. in fact, i dont think its possible for him to ever really be an elite pocket passer. I just used the term since some people are seeing VY throw deep with some success and they assume hes a great passer, while they seem to forget that every game he blows a few routine plays.

I didn't see the INT so I can't say who's fault it was, I heard it was tipped but it's not important. But a very good game indeed. The TD passes to Gage were really things of beauty.

For a young Qb to practice 1-1/2 day have a bum knee and hamstring and throw 3 TD I can't complain. This Miami Defense shut down the Patriots 2 weeks ago. Vy deep ball is one of the best in the League his short game does need some work. He misses some reads but show me a Qb who doesn't.:grrhee:

It was bobbled by three players, including Scaife, before it was picked. Not a great throw but not an interception Young could have done anything about

a pocket passer i consider to do the following

Throw the long ball with accuracy-Vince has improved SIGNIFICANTLY in the deep ball area

Face the blitz and read your hot reciever-Look at the dump off he droped to CJ today in the face of the blitz

limit mistakes and be smart with the football-Hes not forcing thors his interceptions are down and hes making smart decisions

move the chains-He can move the chains with his arm

going through progression if nothing there tucking it down and running- that means looking at reciever number 1 then looking at 2 and so on if nothing open make a great decision by throwing the ball away or running with it

vince is maturing into a pocket passes as soon as he learns to hit the short throws with ease he will be really dangerous
