With so many pro teams spread out all across America, it's hard to keep up with all of the fan bases. Certainly, every team is going to have fair weather fans, but in some markets, even if the team is terrible, true fans still fill the seats. For example, the browns, the cinci reds, the knicks, the bills, the raiders, the bears, and even the lions have a hardcore fanbase.

Other teams, not so much. Jacksonville is obvious, the Texans have plenty of fair weather fans, the Chargers have a great team, but when they are terrible, the stadium is empty. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the team with the most fair weather fans IMO is Indianapolis, IN.

Yes, I went with Indy. You ask, why would you say that? Why have you called out the AFC South? I didn't do it intentionally. Trust me but I would venture to say that if the Colts had a bad season, they'd lose half of their fanbase overnight and Lucas Oil Stadium would sound more like a PGA tour event than it already does.

Do I have any evidence? Well, one things for sure. If you can judge a city on how it treats its other high profile franchises, it's a pretty good measurement of a city's fair weather fans.

Lets look at the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers, who play right across the street from Lucas Oil Stadium have to beg people to show up for their games. Even when the best teams roll through town. I was going to buy tickets to the Lakers/Pacers games and I had alotted $100 to pay for some cheap seats. I figured once I get in, we can scope out some better seats, if there were some available. Well, I go over to stub hub and low and behold, I can get TONS of pacers tickets under $10. I thought.. How can this be? How can a city fill up a 70,000 seat football stadium and have to beg people to come watch the lakers play right across the street? I asked my buddy up in Indy about this and he was telling me that I shouldn't buy the tickets. I asked, "Why?" He replied, that most likely, if he asked around, he could be probably get them for free.

I know alot of you guys live all around the world, so I wanna know, in your opinion, what city has the most fair weather fans?

Pittsburgh Steelers. Sure they have a solid core of true fans, but wow did they come out of the woodwork last January. Everyone I know was all of a sudden a steeler fan. Maybe they are more bandwagonish, but I sure am not seeing the black and gold like I was 11 months ago.

Say what you want about them but Pittsburgh is a true sports town with a hardcore fanbase, however when they are losing it's noticeable how many casual fans they have.

Example, my Uncle when to a Penguins game this fall and it was one of the only games they haven't sold out in the past couple of years, before they had Crosby and Malkin they were the team that everybody thought was going to relocate.

Same goes for the Pirates but I guess after 17 straight seasons with a playoff birth I don't really blame them and they still have a decent following.

There is a difference beteen being spoiled and complaining about losing and fans who just stop supporting their team. The steeler fans will always support their team.

I don't consider Jags fans, panther fans and indy fans as the type that will support their team no mater what.

St Louis fans have not held up when the team has sucked. Bengals and browns fans however have been pretty solid through thick and thin.

The most loyal fans of all are Chicago Cubs fans who love the team no matter what even though that is a city with another baseball team and 3 other major pro franchises.

I would have to say Jacksonville, but they don't qualify because they don't have any fans.

Atlanta has a history of not giving any of their professional franchises much attention unless they are having a great season.

lol. yeah... when my brother was at Georgia Tech they used to deliver free Braves tickets to the ΣΧ House by the box load in an effort to get someone to come to the games.
